can not explain how much i love cevapi

so first of all i didn't come here until my grandmom offered me to buy cevapi in 2018 maybe. so after that expierence i am officaly obssesed with these cevapi... i want to eat them like every day but i am not sure if that is good for my weight so i usually eat them maybe once in a two or three months. maybe i should get a delivery soon because of this corona virus uh..

Fresh and delicious

I have never had Cevapi before and therefore have nothing to compare it to. However, it was fresh and flavourful and the pita it was served in was soft and delicious. It comes with minced raw onions and I said yes to the optional the cream cheese. Either way, it was really delicious. The staff was pleasant, helpful and my overall experience was fantastic. When in Sarajevo please stop by and treat yourself to a wonderful lunch experience, Bosnian style.

Great value for good food

At all hours of the day this place was busy and it’s easy to see why it’s so popular. It’s quite a frantic environment, with staff rushing round getting the meals out quickly to the large number of tables, so it’s far from a relaxing dining experience. But for the prices the quality of food is great and for a casual traditional meal it’s great. The open kitchen is good to see although how the chefs keep up with the constant pace is a miracle! I’ll certainly be returning.

Tasty food, but poor service!

The food was tasty, but the amount of meat was not as usual but as it tasted fine it was ok for us. The biggest problem was the service, although there weren’t too many people, they didn’t even greeted us properly but just took the order, brought the food and left without a word. Maybe it was a bad day for them, but for sure it left a bad impression on us. Net time we will look for another place to eat.

Still good. Bit pricier than it used to be.

Fast food, Bosnian style. Piping hot lepinja or somun bread with kajmak and raw onions, and as many cevapi as you want. I come here every summer in Bosnia for a cevapi or pljeskavica (Bosnian hamburger) lunch. The prices are up like 15-20% since pre-pandemic, but the flavor and friendliness is still there, something about the quality of the meat or the herbs, it's just a great, fast meal. I paid 14 Bosnian marks (KM) for a drink with a 10pc cevapi and somun with onion on this most recent trip. As a solo traveler this time, during the lunch rush, it's totally fine to share tables with other locals or solos also partaking.

Great Cevapi

Cevapi is an extremely popular dish in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I’m no expert but the ones sold here are very good. I took a chance and added cream cheese which worked well with sausages. This place cranks out the cevapi and you won’t have to wait long once you’re seated.

I have eaten Cevapcici at this restaurant and the taste of the cevapi was very good. We asked veliki partition (10 pieces) and it was OK for make me full. If you like it very much, you may ask more. Also I recommend kajmak with it. This kajmak is not a milk Kaymak in Turkey, it is a mixture like salted cheese or something like that I cannot describe so at first I resisted to eat, but after I ate once, I could not give up. Definetely you should eat cevapi with kajmak. Also this restaurant has a few branches and all of them are located in central but you may have to wait for a while because of crowds.

You will have to queue to get a table

Efficient and fast service. Simple menu card. Fast serving. Tasty, and enough of it, their sausages can definitely be recommended, whereas their veal steak can be equally good. Remember the big wallets, we arrived with 31 pennies for 3 main courses, 4 waters and a couple of sides, it looked like a good buy

Ideal for kebab restaurant

The famous meatball restaurant called kebapcici here. It offers meatballs in pita bread in 5-10-15 pieces. Their meatballs are similar to our Tekirdağ meatballs. If you want, it is served with clotted cream/yoghurt. Credit cards are also accepted. Currently 1 meatball is 1KM. Preferable

The best cevapi on the planet

Service was swift and pleasant from overworked and tired staff. 💪 Still, every single time we arrived (5 days in a row, with different friends) we were offered a place to sit (sometimes with a short wait). It’s a fast paced eatery & service. Highly recommended! Don’t waste your tummy space at any other. 😉

The food is local traditional food and tastes good. However! The service attitude of the waiter is not satisfactory. I saw that the waiter was full of smiles when serving the locals, but when talking to me, he put away his smile, had a stern face, and was very indifferent.

Offul plase where to eat !!! Cevapcici withoyt any taste,almost cold, staff were waiting above our had to finish eatting even was 22h ; local has to be open till 23h. They kept the door open while outside was -5°C saing that locale has to get fresh air !!!

Local fantastic food

Recommended from Lonely Planet, we attended. Was full of locals (always good sign). Very small menu and it appears they pretty much do one or two dishes. We attended for the cavapi as recommended. We both went for a 10 portion piece, I had the extra cheese. Was brilliant. No frills, good price, good location to watch world go by. 10 piece was perhaps excessive for lunch but highly recommended as location and food.

A Sarajevo Imperative

You have two choices at zeljo: have the sausage in flat bread with chopped onion or go elsewhere. From other reviews, this seems to be a cultural imperative. For me, as a stranger to the area, it was a good, filling and inexpensive lunch. I guess it is a “must do” in Sarajevo.

Excellent Meatballs, Poor Service

The meatballs are perfect with cream and onions. Sucuk seems not suitable for Turkish taste. The only problem is that Bosnian citizens do not smile, they never smile, you will receive service as if you were beating them. Good taste, bad service. This is the reality of Sarajevo :( sorry.
