Staff are rude unfriendly we had to leave immediately because of bad behavior , we think that this restaurant is overrated, plus it is hard to reach due to narrow uphill bad roads

I am visiting Sarajevo and wanted a nice restaurant to take out my son and his fiancée. This exceeded our expectations. The experience began as we entered and enjoyed the viewing the art, and charming decor as we walked up the stairs into the restaurant.. Friendly...staff, strolling musicians, and romantic ambience. A charming sort of storybook feeling.More

We enjoyed an enormous Bosnian breakfast at Kibe Mahala before we checked out of our room there. It truly had a little bit of everything, including a freshly made omelette, 3 types of jam (one made from grapes grown at the property!), delicious butter and...sour cream, paprika jam, olives, nuts, two types of bread, fresh fruit, yogurt, honey (the honey in Bosnia is SO good), chicken pate, chocolate spread, mushroom and paprika cheeses, cured meat, local cheese, and dried fruit. We also received freshly made Bosnian coffee. All for €15 each! Feels too good to be true. Stay here, eat breakfast, enjoy the views. I wish we had come here for dinner as well.More

One of the highlights of our trip to Sarajevo was the visit to KIBE MAHALA restaurant! We walked the 2km uphill from the town, passing the war cemeteries and stopping halfway to quench our thirst! We were advised to reserve a table; the views of...the city and surrounding hills were stunning. The service was of the highest quality, our waiter recommended everything and was excellent! We enjoyed a couple of beers before ordering, but our waiter had already reserved the lamb for us, which he said would vanish as soon as the locals arrived. We started with the smoked trout, then the spit roasted lamb with various side dishes. The wine, recommended by our waiter was excellent and beer from the local brewery! Our bill was €90 which included water, and good quality wine and beer! We had a lovely evening and then slowly made our way back down the hill to our apartment!More

A very “western” menu with quite limited choices, clearly pitched at well-heeled locals. The setting, high on a hill overlooking Sarajevo, is superb, the interior and ambience are sophisticated, warm and welcoming I went there for the nocturnal view of Sarajevo but this was obliterated...by numerous reflecting lights on the restaurant’s windows. Quite pricy by UK, let alone Sarajevo, standards. I cannot recommend it. Sorry.More

It is one of the most charming places in Sarajevo, with great hosts and very good food! My favourite: Klepe and lamb!! Can’t wait to visit again! We chose Kibe Mahala also as our stay. We had a very comfortable, cozy and beautifully arranged room...with the typical traditional style, so we had the chance to enjoy also a very good and huge breakfast and traditional Bosnian coffee in the morning!More

I had stumbled across Kibe Mahala upon researching best restaurants in Sarajevo. It was on my list to visit and as soon as our local guide told us it’s where he proposed to his partner, we booked in for a meal. Where to begin? The...restaurant is simply stunning, the entire venue is. We went at night and if I could do it again I’d go right at sunset to enjoy the beautiful view of the city. The food is traditional Bosnian cuisine and it was divine. What I loved the most is that the exec chef/4th gen owner actually walks around the floor, he offered to take photos for us and he even showed us around his beautiful place. A visit here is an absolute must - you will not regret it.More
