I've being working in Sarajevo for a quite long time, always looking for a good place to lunch or dinner. When I discovered Caruso, I wanted never to eat elsewhere. After every meal I felt inspired and wanted to explore more. Thank you for that experience.

As a vegan in Bosnia, it was definitely hard to find a restaurant with more than one option. I can across Karuzo while searching online, and was already impressed by the big vegan menu! My mom and I did make a reservation online (which is necessary because the owner, Sasha, does all the cooking from scratch himself), but when we... More

Please read the reviews before you just show up to the restaurant. All of the people who have negative reviews and negative experiences don't follow Sasha's one rule: make a reservation rather than just showing up and expecting him to cook for you. If you respect that request from him, you will have a good experience. He cooks all of... More

On my last evening in Sarajevo, I googled "vegans restaurants in Sarajevo" and Karuzo came up. The reviews were excellent so I decided to book a table there. (You really have to book otherwise you may not be given a table) When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by Sasha, the owner and chef. He is a truly exceptional man... More

One of the greatest restaurant experiences ever. We booked in advance a table for our group of seven and spent an awesome evening with Saša and his delicious menu. A must if you are in Sarajevo and looking for fresh, innovative and tasty food in unique, intense atmosphere. Book in advance and get ready for a night to remember.

On my final day in Sarajevo, I decided to have a quick search for vegetarian food in Sarajevo and this place was such a special find! Not only was my buddha bowl completely fresh, filling and delicious, but Sasha's company was an added bonus- we sat and chatted for awhile. This restaurant is beautiful inside, the food is top quality... More

Saša, the chef (and sole waiter when we were there) is a brilliant host. In fact his friendliness is only surpassed by his incredible food. Everything is freshly prepared and many of the dishes appear in his published cookbook - you can view a copy of this in the restaurant. As part of the introduction to his book he mentions... More

I was here four years ago. Still they are perfect. Food very tasty. Don't go there if you are looking for fast and junk food. Good things deserve a long waiting.

Firstly you need to book! It's a small place but they also only fill half tables because the owner is the chef and waiter. This means the food and service can be a bit slow but it's also worth waiting, especially for the variety of vegetarian and vegan food in an otherwise fairly meaty city.

I went here with a couple of friends, thinking that we would have some amazing vegetarian/vegan food, based on the reviews we read here. But that was not the case! Firstly, when we arrived, the owner/chef was making a fuss because we didn't make a reservation: seriously, how many travelers are going to think of making a reservation after a... More
