In a side street in the heart of Baščaršija, a small restaurant bursts with personality. Behind the green door hides a world like a fairy tale. Specially decorated, where details on the ceiling and walls easily distract attention, until the food arrives on the table. We visited the restaurant as a group, we made a reservation a few days in advance, which was smart considering the limited capacity. The waiter was extremely cordial, accommodating and helpful. We followed the recommendations and did not regret it. From appetizers, main course, wine and dessert, everything was excellent. The prices for us from Croatia are more than acceptable, it turned out to be approx. 25 €/per capita. On leaving, we noticed that there were at least 10 trip advisor stickers, the last one from last year, which in itself should be a reference of excellence.

I had the tasty ajvar with tasty hot fresh hone made bread (though could not finish the generous bread helping) and a tasty beef goulash with homemade gnocchi included. I managed to get on by eating early though it had lots of reservations for later. With drink and a tip just under 40 BAM so reasonable prices though more than some other local restaurants.

During the visit to Sarajevo, cultural but above all gastronomic, this restaurant was the best rated by a group of 15 people. A small but very cozy restaurant, with a variety of dishes that can satisfy any palate. Gulas with a spicy touch, in my opinion a great success. Very attentive staff down to the smallest detail. Trying everything, with the drink (not wine) and dessert included, the bill came to around €22 per person. The only negative point is that they do not accept cards.

Excellent restaurant in the historic center of the city of Sarajevo. Great service. Menu with regional dishes and "international" options. I recommend the Dveri steak, which is a rolled meat, filled with an embedded and cheese, empanated to perfection and fried... very good. The pork steak is also good, but the dveri steak is much better and resembles a typical Serbian dish. The environment is nice but small, recommended to book in advance. The regional wine chart is good. Prices are compatible with the other restaurants in this area which is tourist, that is, it is not cheap, but it is a fair price.

Meats, especially steaks, are excellent, beef with gorgonzola sauce is our recommendation. We do not recommend smoked meats that are too angry. I suggest you try the special breads and ajvar. The service is very bad, you cannot get any suggestions from the waiters, there is never a smiling face, there is beaten service and delicious food here.

Once again, an absolutely incredible dinner at Dverj. Tonight I got the traditional steak, medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection. If you are visiting Sarajevo, you must try Dveri. It is cash only and many of the tables are reserved so it you have a group, I'd recommend making a reservation. If you are solo and can eat within an hour/hour and a half (I've never felt rushed) you can arrive without a reservation and let them know you'll only be an hour. I haven't had an issue getting a table as a solo person yet.

The restaurant is in the historic center of Sarajevo, the entrance seems a little hidden, you have to be attentive or you will miss it. The decoration is in a style that we can call rustic, as if it were a town house. The food that you can find on their menu is basically traditional Balkan food, with dishes, sausages and cheeses from the area. Special mention must be made of their homemade bread, which everyone should try...we all seem to love it. We ordered black risotto, a local cheese and sausage tray, and a chicken thigh with vegetables. The portions are a good size, so you won't leave hungry. The risotto was ok, the chicken was good and the sausages... I can't say they would be bad, but I didn't like them. The sausages tend to be cut thick, not like in other places where we cut them thin. The service is fast and friendly, they speak several languages. They follow a classic management style, they do not accept cards and I saw an employee review the tickets (made by hand) and write them down in a notebook

We turned up here without a reservation after seeing reviews on Trip Advisor. We managed to get a table for a limited time that was booked later in the evening. We felt very lucky as so many people were turned away during the course of our meal. They were already fully booked for the next two nights so it’s definitely worth booking ahead. The service was friendly, the homemade bread tasted and smelt amazing and the goulash so tasty. Very much recommend. Note-they only take cash.

We started worrying when 3 of the things we tried to order weren’t available (for a party of 2, this is quite a lot), but were reassured when the server brought the beautiful homemade bread. The bread was also tasty and went very well with the cheese marinated in olive oil. The mains, however, were very disappointing. The steak Dveri, a veal scallopine stuffed with Bosnian bresaola and cheese, then breaded and deep-fried, was heavy and not very tender. The red pepper stuffed with cheese, also breaded and deep-fried, was filled with a ridiculously large amount of cheese that, combined with nasty breading, made for an unappetizing dish. We tried a couple of rakijas that were very good, though. The restaurant only accepts cash and only returns change when they feel like it.

The beefsteak is highly recommended. However, we advise against the standard European dishes such as Caesar salad, but that doesn't reflect the local cuisine either. The restaurant is small and quaint. The service is attentive and friendly, which is not a given in Sarajevo, at least not in the old town. But be careful: cash only!

The food is excellent and very tasty. Special praise for being educated about celiac disease and preparing uncontaminated gluten-free dishes. Recommendation for domestic red wine, perfect. A very charming little restaurant with friendly staff. Reservation required!

Lovely restaurant tucked away in the heart of old town Sarajevo. This charming delight offers up an inviting setting for both small groups and an evening with the lovely lady. As I stepped through the sliding door from a cold March evening into Dveri, I was greeted with a warm hug that knocked the chill off my nose. Immediately my eye were captivated by one of the most beautiful bread shapes that I had encountered in my long years. The bread they served at Dveri looked like a flower-shaped crescent, and the smell was as intoxicating as a rush of blood to the head. The menu has choices for everyone, and I decided to try the beef goulash on the recommendation of a longtime Sarajevo friend of mine. I chose to couple with the Servesjeska Perimum beer and was not disappointed. They brought the fresh baked bread to the table accompanied by some spicy ajvar - and it was amazing. My love Nadjia would definitely have approved of the meal. After a few rounds of beers with friends, our meal wound down and everyone agreed that Dveri needed to be must see for any visit to Sarajevo.

I went there with 4 friends to have a lunch while visiting Sarajevo. Place looks really cozy and has very friendly vibe to it. Waiter was very polite and welcoming and we quickly got our food. The amount of tasty food you get for the amount paid is almost absurd. This should be a must have visit if you want to eat tasty traditional cuisine.

Very good food and good service. The restaurant is very small and usually requires reservations, specially for weekends. In this restaurant I had the chance to try many things, the veal soup (veal pieces, vegetables, mushrooms) was very good. The dveri meat plate which is veal roll stuffed with melting cheese was very good. The dveri goulash was also very good but somehow was so similar to the veal soup, with similar ingredients minus the vegetables. Their special house bread is also very good with it we ordered ayvar sauce and Mediterranean cheese with olives plate. Over all it was a good experience and good food but a bit overrated.

The food was very delicious. We ordered the meat soup which was very good as well as steaks which were excellent. They also had a homemade loaf of bread that was very good (resembles the brioche bread but salty). The restaurant itself is a little small in space and not airy but it sort of gives it a special ambiance with the soft music played in the background. Beautifully decorated and excellent service. Highly recommend! الاكل كان جدا لذيذ و المكان جميل رغم صغر حجمه…اللحم عالي الجودة و شوربة اللحم كانت جدا لذيذة. انصح فيه لتجربة الاكل البوسني
