The food was amazing. Everything was delicious. The ambient is traditional, and the waiter was very kind and pleasant. I recommend to everybody their tradition bosnian food, that is very good and everything home made. To all negative feedback that other people wrote, i suggest that they go to an italian restaurant, instead of criticizing this beautiful location and great food.

Bijela Tabija means "the white fortress" - it gained it's name after the fortress next to it, from which most awesome look at the city is to be experienced. And when sitting in the restaurant, you gat that view AND top cuisine. Which is, and that's a good part too, not over expensive at all - one can get a VERY good meal at less than 20 EUR per person, for what elsewhere you can have a burger and a drink, at best. Their desert choco pear is on its own worth a visit! Same like the great veal under peka. Very fast and friendly service...

Yesterday I visited it with my mother, we lunched on the terrace with a view of the Miljacka canyon. We were very satisfied with the meal - Bey's soup and mushroom soup, muckalica (spicy veal with vegetables) and veal skewers, and a specialty chocolate pear for dessert. Served in traditional Bosnian metal dishes - "sahan". The service is decently fast, we only waited a little longer at the beginning. To be warmest recommended, additionally because of the extraordinary view and beautiful interior in a traditional Bosnian style.

This restaurant is worth visiting for the views. You can see the entire Sarajevo from here. Do take the cab or city bus there. The food at this place is average at best. Stick to drinks, fritters, or crapes.

I ordered 600 gr mix meat but I got less and not the ones I ordered. Justification: the menu wasn’t updated. They should have told me before I ordered that the menu was old

Bijela Tabija Restaurant is a plesant place where you can relax, eat good food and enjoy a splendid view over Sarajevo. We walked from the city of Sarajevo up to the White Fortress to take a look and see what it was like. Not a very long walk, but nice. And what a view on the top! The nearby restaurant was just what we needed after leaving the fortress. Inviting and not possible to oversee. We loved the place for its atmosphere, inviting guests to relax and enjoy. The restaurant is good for families with children as well for couples. Thanks to the friendly hosts for good service and good food. Recomended!

This restaurant was recommended to my husband and me by the locals (I am native to the region). We were the only guests for the majority of the evening. The waitress (who seemed the owner of the place, or family of the owner) greeted us unenthusiastically. We ordered a bottle of local wine (Nuić Blatina), which was clearly off (sour and fizzy), so we asked for another bottle and went for Montenegrin Vranac Pro Corde, which met our expectations (we are both familiar with Vranac), but we were charged for both bottles in the end! For dinner, we ordered a cheese platter as appetizer-if you are looking for a local taste, this is nothing for you, as the majority of served cheese is Gouda and blue cheese (both are anything but local!). For the main dish, my husband ordered the house steak, which was good even though the waitress never asked for the cooking style. I ordered veal medallions and that was a pure disaster-the meat was clearly not the medallion, but rather some sort of a schnitzel folded to look like medallions, and heavily overcooked. The mushroom sauce was fine. Medallions were served with French fries - again, if you are looking for something local, this is not it! The overall experience was rather poor and the place seriously overpriced (114KM is what you normally pay for 4 instead of 2 people). The view from the restaurant is superb, but not worth it. If you are after the view - go for a walk up the hills or take a gondola to Trebević mountain for 20KM per person. Taken together, I really do not recommend this place and will surely not go back there.

The view from this restaurant is amazing, the food, not so much. Considering they present themselves as Italian style, the food I had were a poor attempt. Their bolognese were minced meat with tomato purée.

Great atmosphere, great service. Restaurant is near fortress Bijela tabija. Delicious food. We ate pumpkin soup, fish, grilled vegetables, season salat and drink very good homemade wine. For desert we ate traditional bosnian desert hurmašica and kadaif. Restaurant has private parking space, and a public transportation is nearby.

Very nice place above city and close to the old fortress Bijela tabija. Bosnian coffee with cake were absolutely delicious. The best view. Recommend.
