What a great restaurant! Every single member of staff we encountered couldn't have been nicer and made us feel extremely welcome. The food was fabulous, everything we ordered was delicious and arrived not too long after ordering. The thing that shcoked me the most was the price; we had bread & butter, 3 starters, 2 main courses and numerous drinks both alocohlic and non alcoholic and it came to a total of 3500 lek which is about £25 in GBP, incredible price! The restaurant is located in the Blloku area so when you're finished you're surrounded by many bars to go and enjoy your night further. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough & will definitely return when in Tirana!

Italian restaurant that side of the Adriatic

The present review is based upon a visit on the last day before much of the country closed for coronavirus reasons. The place was quite empty that night. This restaurant, in the centre of Tirana (Blokku), shows itself as resolutely Italian. We appreciated the open space, with shelves and flower pots. This gives the whole dining room a sense of openness whilst keeping a sense of intimacy. The linguine had too much juice and sauce, but were nonetheless edible, and quickly served. Service staff, verging on plethora (workforce is cheap, there), mostly Albanian, show a comfort in speaking Italian, and a good, responsible attitude, either at the bar or for sitting tables.

Great food and value for money

There are two branches, each with a different atmosphere. The food in both (and the beer) is delicious and (certainly by U.K. standards) great value for money. A particular mention for the waiter, Altin, who was particularly friendly and efficient.

Not very good

Although it is in a very good area of Tirana, I have only gone to this restaurant once and will not go again. The service is not good at all, the food delays much more and it is not too warm either. I would not recommend it to many tourists visiting Tirana, it would be better to have another restaurant. Thank you.

Classy Italian place

A classy place right in the center. They serve delicious Italian style food for a very reasonable price. A two course lunch for two people with a drink each costed us only 20 euro's. Service provided by the staff was professional and attentive. Recommended.

Atmosphere and excellent food

Final night in Tirana and we finished with a meal here. We sat upstairs and the surroundings and decor are lovely. Our waiters were efficient and friendly but gave you the required amount of time to pick from an extensive menu. I had the calamari which was really good and followed it up with a lovely seafood linguine. A couple of my colleagues had Chateaubriand and said it was excellent. The choice of drinks was very good and offered something for everyone. A definite go to restaurant if you are visiting Tirana

I have visited several times, as I have been invited by friends and celebrated my birthday there. Staff is somehow arrogant. Charged us for forks and napkins which is not done in any restaurant in Albania. Even at this particular one we have not been charged for service tools before. When we pointed out they changed the bill and brought a new one. Also they put in the bill dishes we didn't order to make us pay more. Happened when I invited my friends there, as well as when I have been invited by friends. They really like this trick. Last time I was we ordered pasta. 4 same dishes all with the same problem. Some pasta in the same dish was more al'dente than needed, I could say CRISPY! While other ones were normaly al'dente. How can you have in the same plate pasta with obviously different times of cooking?! We ended up sending back all four dishes and ordered pizza because we were starving. Then another waiter (or maybe manager, didn't introduce himself) came over our table and started Raising His Voice when asking us why we didn't like the dishes and having them sent back. He didn't even listen to what we had to say as customers, but only kept talking how the CRISPY pasta was "fresh" and "perfectly" cooked. I was left speechless with his attitude!!! I'm never ever visiting again.

Great pizza

Been there a couple of times. A good place if you want to taste good food. From salads pastas or meat. I particularly like their pizzas, thin crusted,fresh toppings and baked in wood burning woven. Just delicious.

Would not try again …

While I was swiftly given a seat when entering the rest of the experience was not impressive to say the least. I ordered a starter which arrived less than 2 minutes later - clearly heated in a microwave. Before I finished it the main dish (salmon pasta) arrived in which I found 3 or 4 very small pieces of salmon. The restaurant was busy and based on the other reviews seems to be popular but I will definitely look elsewhere during my next trip to Tirana.

The photos of Roman actors of the past are not enough for Italianness......

Attracted by the ...."Italian restaurant" ...and the good reviews we wanted to try this restaurant located along one of the most populated streets of restaurants in Tirana. We queue up and they bring us the menu. We asked what seasonal vegetables there were and the staff who were supposed to speak Italian didn't understand what the term meant.....seasonal....so we explained it to them in English. On the walls there are photos of Alberto Sordi eating spaghetti, Aldo Fabrizi, Gina Lollobrigida, Sora Lella etc but I must say that the Italian spirit stops with those photos but this is not enough. Some vegetarian meatballs arrive for my wife and I have to wait twenty minutes after threatening to leave to have my plate of fresh pasta...?.. with sausage while obviously my wife had already long since finished eating her dish. For the second course, a sea bass with potatoes brought in a bowl but the fish was tasteless. Wine with an unreasonable cost as in all the restaurants in Tirana. Slow service, mediocre dishes, Italian style only on the photos on the walls so don't have high expectations but I would recommend restaurants where they serve exclusively Albanian cuisine.

we ate there two nights in a row to give them a fair chance. both nights were disappointing. Osso bucco was all fat and bone. next night tried Lamb Trio and duck. lamb was overcooked and duck was ok but five slices for 1200 lek is ridiculous. never again.Booo

Warm welcome, warm evironment and very tasty food

This restaurant had very welcoming staff - much more welcoming than most restaurants in Tirana and more like an Italian restaurant experience without the stereotypical Italian waiter attitude. The food was hot and tasty, with such a wide range to choose from and wines are listed. Card payment is taken and it is no smoking - great for tourists who are looking for somewhere with a familiar environment and system.

Awful experience

I don’t know what happened with Artigiano, but I was sooooo disappointed! We order a Cesar salad that had the the chicken looked like dry wood, and the dressing was like mayo instead of Cesar dressing. We requested the linguine of my mother NOT TO BE Al dente, because she has stomach problem, but this thing was forgotten. My pasta was so uncooked( far from being al dente) so you could see a white layer if you cut it, moreover over it was sooooooooooooo salty, like you could have blood pressure out of eating it. The only good thing was the politeness of the waiter that she was soo nice and changed the pasta of my mom and left herself in full disposal. When I was living in Albania, Artigiano used to be one of my favourite restaurant, but I will definitely will NOT recommend people to go there. Shame

Not at all a correct delivery service

Might be a good restaurant, but the delivery service is terrible. They are trying to fool you with the prices that are totally different from those published online and hidden cost that are written no where, like Tagliatelle Bolognese in the menu was 520 ALL but they charged us 700 cALL, or charging 200 ALL extra for parmesan cheese that was not even fresh and in the restorant is included when you order pasta, or delivery fee for a direct order from the restaurant. The worst part is that they don’t take any responsibility for that, just a simple “we are sorry, but the menu is old, you should check in another delivery app where you can find the updated prices”. This ain’t the first time we have problems with the delivery but already 3 times in 1.5 years. Once they sent us a totally burned what was supposed to be a grilled octopus. So be careful when you order from them if you don’t want to be surprised by the bill or the food.

Good location, food was not so good, while service was very bad. We waited for a long time until the menus were brought to us, then we waited until they received the orders and half an hour until the food arrived. Definitely choose another place.
