ODA Restorant has earned a reputation for its warm, friendly service, though it's worth noting that during peak times, service can lag a bit. Its traditional Albanian cuisine, particularly the stuffed eggplants and lamb dishes, come highly recommended by many guests, although a few find the offerings lackluster or not quite worth the price. The live music and authentic ambiance contribute to a delightful dining experience, although for some, the noise level can be a distraction. Overall, the value is appreciated, with most guests satisfied with the portion sizes and pricing.

Went there twice over a two day stay in Tirana in July 2019; the experience was that good! The atmosphere felt cozy and the food was delicious - we tried a variety of dishes including desserts, all were very tasty. Great value too. And the hostess was very lovely as well and explained the dishes to us. Also great vegetarian options (two of us were veggie). My mum then went on a work trip and took colleagues to Oda - they felt it was a strong value for money opportunity to try traditional food. Would 100% recommend you try!

First things first, we had a little trouble finding the place. It was down a small alleyway between other businesses. However I’m extremely glad we didn’t give up looking. Once inside we were able to choose between traditional seating or more normalized tables. There were more vegetarian options on the menu than anything but despite usually going with a meat dish, I went with the rice stuffed peppers and my partner ordered the eggplant dish. I was afraid the portions would be small from the pictures and almost ordered another dish, but when the waiter set them on the table I’m glad I didn’t. They were huge and even more so delicious! I was more than satisfied and full by the end. The bread that came with it was fluffy and perfect as well! This was my first meal in Albania and I’m off to a great start! I would absolutely recommend this place based on the pleasant atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and amazing dishes. I plan to go back and try other options!

Food was extremely delicious, we were told what is the best at the moment and advised will like : ) Owner was communicating with us with her daughter, really tasty food. We weren't lucky as there was some road work done outside and there was awful smell of drainage. Not a fault of restaurant!

Expected traditional Albanian food and got served some dry balls made of obviously old deep fried rice... We luckily ordered Lemon Soda, so we could drown the also dusty bread. Not a surprise: The pepper was filled with...? Exactly, warmed rice ;) The exception was the eggplant, which saves this review the second star. The first is for the waitress who preserved me for ordering bones and innards which I don’t like. Maybe these were the highlights of the menu and we just refused them unintentionally... Btw the price-performance ratio was slightly (irony) unbalanced; If this restaurant serves real Albanian food, we know why all the locals just eat pizza..

We read about this restaurant selling authentic Albanian food and decided to try it but was really disappointed by the whole experience!! It was really hard to find in a dark dingy alley with exterior of the restaurant dirty and neglected. I peeped inside to check whether it was open or not, was kinda deserted but when I went inside a man popped his head and took us in a room ( lime somebody’s living room) and gave us this small menu. Still thinking it must be very unassuming real Albanian tasty food we ordered spinach pie and Lima beans from vegetarian dishes. When they arrived it was all cold!!! So disappointed with the whole experience and a rip off by Albanian standards. My husband is already allergic to restaurants and after this he is much much happier with my cooking! Lol

We had great expectations but unfortunately we had to leave the restaurant disappointed. It was freezing inside, I had my lunch in my winter coat. We ordered fergese, which was good. We also ordered two portions of lamb, but it was not enough for one person either. Also, as a side dish we had grilled vegetables, which was served like 15 minutes before the meat and was cold by the time the lamb had arrived.

I was torn between three and four stars because Oda's food was so good but the service was so bad. It took 20 mins for the waiter to come take our order after we sat down. We ordered four dishes, and the first three came out quite quickly. The fourth (grilled lamb) was taking so long - almost an hour - that we thought they had forgotten about it so we asked for the check. Our waiter said it was coming and that we should wait. At this point we just wanted to leave so asked for the check so we could pay in advance and then leave as soon as the lamb arrived. It took another 20 mins after the lamb arrived to pay, however, so over two hours spent at a restaurant that should have been an hour. We had an early morning the next day, so the slow service at Oda unfortunately cost us the chance to explore cocktail bars for a nightcap.

We came there (also because of the reviews) and we're sitting inside. We ordered the stuffed eggplant, stuffed pepper and wood-oven lamb. However, the only kitchen tool that was used to finish the dishes was the microwave. Peeping of the microwave was load and clear. Everything was hot but heated up. And of course a lamb is not as juicy when just coming out of the microwave as it would be when coming from a wood stove. I wouldn't go again.

I went to this place on the last day of my stay in Tirana. I had high hopes of their "home-made traditional Albanian food" as I had been eating fast food for a number of evenings and thought this place could be a nice change. The restaurant is run by a group of ladies. The place had a very pretty and authentic interior with pictures of old people hanging on the walls. I was sat on a low level table and ordered stuffed aubergine (aka imam bayildi) and a plate of rice. This particular dish is not the easiest one to make however when done properly, it can please anyone from vegans to hardcore meat eaters. I was bitterly disappointed with my imam bayildi because aubergine is normally fried before put into oven. Mine was too hard to chew which indicated that they didnt fry the aubergines. The dish totally lacked taste and flavour. Rice was ok but could have been better. The worst bit was they heated the food in a microwave. Why to eat out if you get served microwaved food?

Ordered the meatballs, they came as 4 lonely salty beef burgers, were not nice. Partly my fault maybe as I expected a sauce/yogurt or potatoes or something to come with it. I tried to get waiters attention to ask for somethng else or in addition to accompany these low quality burgers but by time waiter came over these were cold and I could not face eating them. I asked if I could get something else or not pay and they said it was my choice so had to pay but they wanted the table so could not order anything else. Poor service and poor meat quality. This place is very hit and miss! Wish I had missed it out! Was a horrid experience

The owner is welcoming and the dishes she recommended were all delicious and well worth the experience. She recommended an array of the perfect amount of food bites. The Lamb was exquisite, the egg plant stuffed with veggies was dreamy... and everything placed before me was out of this world amazing. Craft beer was cold and tasty. I will be doing that again before I leave Tirana. Due to the many renovations taking place right now it may be a little difficult to find, but it is right off the main road so don’t be discouraged because it was worth the little look.

Our first evening in Tirana with a group of 10 lead us to ODA for dinner. In a twisty alleyway, it offers indoor space for maximum 30 guests, which made us feel very cosy. The couple, that runs the ODA speaks English very well and could help us with all our questions. We have relied on the owners suggestions and were able to try most the specialties they offer. The housewine tasted good, the food was prepared in a traditional way and we had a nice evening. Some of our adventuresome friends ordered the boiled lamb head, which looked "special". They liked it, we had some good fotos of their food. Sheep cheese and yoghurt often is served as a filling or as dessert - very good! Make the authentic experience and go there

This is one of the few central places in Tirana where you can get Albanian cuisine. Their menu is not diverse, but it has some 20+ dishes. Maybe 13 if you don't eat innards. I ordered some oven roasted lamb and it was... Iy tasted like lamb. A bit too salty. But nothing special. It was a bit pricey compared to other places as well. Also, in Albania, you almost never get any garnish, not even decor, for main dishes. So keep that in mind. It was my first day in the country and I did not know that. Some of the dishes I saw looked delicious, so maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I would have considered coming back was it not for one annoying thing: the service. The waiters were not unpleasant. They were just incredibly slow. It took ten minutes from when I was shown to a table and till I got a menu. Another several minutes before I could place an order and it took 15 minutes from when I asked to pay till I got my receipt. The service was incredibly slow and the restaurant was only a quarter full. Most of the time, I just saw the waiters hanging around doing nothing. Sure, they need a break every now and then, but this was too much. I can't recommend this place as my dish was too bland and expensive and because of the slow service.

We found this a great place to eat authentic traditional Albanian food in a very traditional setting. We ate a selection of dishes recommended by our really helpful waiter and we were not disappointed! Every dish was really tasty, good portion sizes and great value for money. The restaurant is a little difficult to find, tucked down a small alley off the main street, but worth the hunt. Do not confuse this with Oda Garden restaurant (which is easier to find and has an almost identical menu)!

Was expecting greatness, but I left leaving unsure what all the fuss is about with Oda. Had the vegetable and rice soup, eggplant, and lamb dish. Soup was okay - hottest dish of the day. The eggplant had a very heavy tomato flavour - which masked all of the other ingredients. It also appeared as if the dish was microwaved, as it was warm on the outside and cold on the inside. The lamb was just okay - it was bordering on being tough. The waitress also appeared totally disinterested despite it being relatively empty. I’d recommend anyone thinking of going here to eat at Tymi instead. Had two great meals there and I intend to go back.
