My wife and I had breakfast here during a recent stay in Tirana and we were so impressed that we went back the next two mornings as well. The food is superb (the poached eggs on avocado and toast - with truffles - were perfect each time), the service is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the price is incredibly good value. Poached eggs, omelette (including truffle), coffee, fresh hand squeezed orange juice came to around £10. Highly recommended

Unassuming little restaurant in the upscale Toptani castle wall complex. Great service, nice wine list and here’s the headline... beautifully made pasta and risotto with fresh seasonal truffles shaved into your meal at the table for between €5-10 depending on the dish. Amazing value and delicious food. A hidden gem - we’ll be back. A nice touch is a large oil painting of the dog that finds the truffles hanging on the wall with its proud owner clutching a fistful of the fantastic fungus.

Just wow- we went twice for dinner and once for breakfast.
Everything was impressive- the food was delicious (the truffle cheesecake was our absolute favourite thing), it was amazing to try truffles like this for the first time (on one visit, I think because he could see how happy we were to try it, a staff member brought a truffle directly to our table and shaved extra directly onto our meals). The staff are kind, professional and seem happy to work there. The location in Tirana castle is perfect. There wasn't a thing I didn't enjoy- the house white wine was also delicious.
The prices are sensational, even for a city that is already good value for eating options for people visiting.
All in all this is the real deal, I think you will love it and I urge you to go if you visit Tirana.

Great Location and very warm atmosphere. The service was nice and fast. The food is excellent!!! The warm dishes are prepared fresh and served warm. You get much better quality of food and service than in a 5 star restaurant !
Will visit again everytime when I am in Tirana.

Came for dinner with my girlfriends and had the best experience. Delicious food, varied options, the smell of truffle envolving us. Great Italian/Latin mellow music to accompany the soirée and had very firendly and accomodating waiters. Will definitely come back!

Tartuf Shop is in a row of restaurants in an old castle wall of Tirana, 10 min walk from Skanderbeg Square. Everything on the menu includes local truffles. We ordered a Tartuf Shop salad with fresh shaved black truffles, salad greens, pineapple, cherry tomatoes shaved cheese, balsamic vinaigrette; more than two of us could eat. The mushroom- stuffed chicken, white truffles carbonara, and beef tenderloin carpaccio were all delicious!!! Kevin, our waiter, came outside in the rain to invite us in, then served all our food, shaving black truffles over the top. Wonderful meal and experience!

My wife and I arrived at the restaurant at 20.45 on 20th of June 2022 (just a reference for the owners) , and set down in the middle of the terrace. Waiters went by for 10 minutes and nobody came to our table. When one of them finally came it was by mistake, he unloaded two glasses of wine before we told him it was for some other guests, he took it, without saying he was sorry, without even a smile or a gesture of any kind. Then few minutes later another couple sat next to us and waiter brought them menu immediately! And again went by our table like we don’t exist! So that was it, we got up and left, and again nobody from the staff noticed. Dear owners of this restaurant, you can have the best food in the world but with staff like this you are losing money and reputation every day.

Hello, as soon as we read you review, we started our research to verify and than to find the problem. I personally took care of the case and opened the security cameras.
We could clearly identify that you have sit and than gone from the restaurat in about 1 minute and 40 seconds.
The couples that you mentioned in your review have been in the restaurant since 19.30, meanwhile you have came at 20.35.
Also as the owner of the restaurant i can secure that my priority, but also our staff priority is always the client and we work everyday as a team to make everyone feel welcomed and satisfied from our service and our food. The reputation that we have today as a restaurant is also because our staff.
We're very sorry for this situation, but in such a short time it is impossible to accommodate the clients and also bring them the menu and take their order in less than 2 minutes, in a full restaurant.

This restaurant have a very odd way of “reserving tables” and often appear to reserve outside tables for people of their choice. Our first attempt to eat here ended in failure. The second didn’t.
I had (well it was shared!!) a really lovely shrimp starter. We had a good bottle of Cobo red wine, water and we had a fish and tomato pasta dish and the burger.
The pasta dish was not huge but was very tasty. The burger was very good.
We paid £37 and in fairness the wine was £15 of that. However we have eaten in a few good places here and have spoken to a few locals and this is quite pricey (not compared to the UK obviously).
We wouldn’t hesitate to say try it out but just do so in an informed comparative way.

Ma lei sa la differenza tra 1 piato qualsiassi e un piato al TARTUFO. Per esempio a Londra 2 persone ristorante al tartufo Senza prendere bottiglia di vino e mangiatto pochissimo abbiamo pagato 800 £😉
Qio ha pagato 37 con bottiglia di vino ,gberi pasta , antioaste ecc TUTTO AL TARTUFO 37£.
Dai non scherziamo 😌

This is an amazing place. I visit it at least once per month
For all truffles - lovers, this is a dreamland where you will enjoy with all of your senses. This restaurant is very focused in menu, with a goal to emphasize the truffles aroma and taste.
My ultimate choice for starters is Tartuf shop salad - a mix of greens, pineapple, avocado, and, you can guess...truffles. One can continue with perfectly cooked steaks or ribs, with rich fresh truffles dressing on the top.
A wine list is well-designed to accompany the menu and make the impression even better.
Service and cleaness are perfect. There are several meals for children and those who don't enjoy the truffles

Highly recommend this place for some great truffle based dishes. I had the black truffle panini and was blown away by its taste! The ravioli was also to die for and was accompanied with fresh truffle shavings by the waiter. For good food and good service try out this place!

If you come in the right season white truffles definitely worth a try. Risotto is cooked in milk and more refine tricks mare it a memorable visit. Truffle itself is expensive but here you can find a bargain.

We were there because a friend recommended it. She wasn't wrong.
Attention was impressive, waiter was very polite and helpful. He made very good suggestions and did not choose most expensive dishes for us. Very frank.
Good is really impressive!!! Everything, I mean everything. Not a plate to dismiss really.
Of course nota cheap option for locals but a reasonably place for Europeans.
Please do not forget to order beef tenderloin with either truffle if available, you won't regret (most tender and juicy meat I've ever tasted).

Went here with high hopes due to previous reviews, especially looking forward to trying the truffle cheesecake.
I can only say it was really dissapointing.
The first course of potatoes in white truffle sauce was fairly good.
The main course arrived whilst I was only half way through my starter! When I complained they said they cook in order.
I had to leave half my starter to stop my main getting cold. IT wa spgahetti with truffles and was OK, but nothing special. My wifes Ravioli main course arrived cold. When we queried that hey said that it had a white sauce and had to be served luke warm to stop it curdling, really?
After finishing our main courses we waited for over 35 minutes for someone to take our plates and offer dessert. No one did despite not appearing to be too busy.
Got bored eventually and decied not to bother with the cheesecake, so went in to pay the bill. When I complained about the service they seemed disinterested.
A triumph of hype over quality and service. Wouldn't bother going back.

If you are a fan of truffle i highly recommend this restaurant located in the Castle of Tirana. It is a cosy place, with a great service and delicious food. You can try amazing dishes with truffle, such as pastas, salads and even the dessert with truffle. Everything delicious!
