I guess we expected more from a French restaurant in Tahiti. Went there for lunch, but most menu items were large dinner portions. Our French is minimal and so was the staff's English so we had a hard time ordering. Seafood was undercooked and the steak was quite fatty. Anyway, we were out of the rain.

We stumbled across this small interesting restaurant in a street near the market. The food was very good and as it is also a wine bar, there was a great selection of wines. There was also a lovely selection of pastries to choose from. The staff were delightful, helping us choose a wine after a generous taste testing! If you... More

Had a quick lunch here. Shrimps with pasta. Food was excellent, and it seems that this restaurant is really concentrated on wines as they have a wine shop next door also. Unfortunately It was little too early for wine for me.

The owner of this place may be French, but he is beyond nice! He helped us buy three bottles of wine, they were excellent, he then walked us over to his restaurant next door and gave us a glass of wine. We would have eaten but had a deadline for a return to the intercontinental, the food looked wonderful! He... More

Good food, low prices, nice service, excellent wine. Degustation of wine proposed by specialists. Small room which gives an intimate atmosphere

We were all prepared to visit the top rated restaurant Le Grillardin however, I asked a local shop keeper and a taxi driver which was the best and they both recommended Vigne en Verre and locals are usually right! This is a wine only restaurant so I had to forgo the beer I had been hanging out for. However, there... More

Philistine that I am I asked for beer and my better half asked for a cocktail. Neither were available. However they have a large selection of wine. I could not tell you whether it is good or bad as I do not drink wine. The food was bland and for the price disappointing. If you love your wine then you... More

We were waiting to be able to board the Marina a cruise ship, from the Oceania line. We asked some of the crew where to have a nice lunch. They pointed across the street from the city hall where we deposited our luggage. This is a small place with close tables, and yet charming. The couple next to us were... More
