Charming Italian restaurant for great pizza and pasta. Very interesting decor with heaps of French cartoons adorning the walls. Very popular with the locals. Initially we were the only ones there but it filled up quickly slowing the service right down. Only 2 waitresses. Good food and reasonable priced.

Ah Lou Pescado, one of the most charming places I visited while in French Polynesia. It truly is a capsule in time and the ladies running the place are amazing. I went here one night for dinner during the week and there were a handful of people inside. The service was great and the spag bol portion size was just... More

Good pizzas in the wood fire and italian cooking with a very personalized interior design located in the center of Papeete.

Our last night in Tahiti we went to Lou Pescadou. On a quiet side street with checkered table cloths it reminded of places my parents took me to in the 1960's. It was Tahitian Labor Day and there were two locals playing guitar with several others singing songs...everything from traditional Tahitian music to Elvis..It was one of the best nights... More

Good food, never had a problem with service. Owners are very nice! Decor is out dated but that's what gives it it's charm. I think it's hard for a tourist to find this location. Located on a side street across the vaima shopping center.

Do not be afraid by this place which seem to be frozen in the past but delivers large portion of very good food. Prices are more than correct, quality is there, we are lacking the original boss who was a local figure and who passed away from a cancer a couple of years ago. Hopefully the whole family is there... We always stop here when we're in Tahiti (at least 6 times since 1986). My husband is a pizza lover, and this is where we had our first wood fire pizza. Back then, not too many places in the USA were doing it and it was love from then on. Mario has passed away, and his son is running the... More

Lou Pescadou has always been a good place to have a perfect pizza. unfortunately the owner passed away and his family took over the business and tried to recreate the ambiance of a little italian trattoria but failed. The food is OK, service is OK, not what it used to be. They should reinvet themselves and not try to do... More

Visited Lou Pescado few years ago but can say it's the best restaurant to dine in in Papeete. The pasta dishes are fantastic, my favorite is the Spagetti Carbonara and my husband always ordered their Lasagna....never tried their pizza but looked good. I remember that the waitress never wanted to take the tip, but we always insisted as the food... More

Unfortunately, the pizzaiolo makes awful pizzas. Too salted, no taste.
