While visiting Tahiti with a guide, he took us to the "Relais de la Maroto" for lunch. You are right in the middle of the island, surronding by rain forest and polynesian mountains - it is a unique place. Being in Tahiti, I chose the local speciality, the "Poisson cru à la Tahitienne", raw fish marinated in lime Juice and... More

Lunched here on a 4 wheel drive tour. The views are amazing however the place is a little grotty and run down. The food was ok but expensive. Service was very slow but we were told later they had some issues with electricity which may have resulted in the slow service. Apart from the view there is absolutely nothing about... More

If you take the full day island tour, this is the only place you get to eat. considering that this is still good. I had vegetarian food.

The location is extraordinary but the perfect stop to eat and refresh on the Papeete Full Day Inner Island Tour. Although there's no other place to eat, the food is actually pretty good but it may not be what you expect. For instance, the fried chicken is more like an oven baked fillet with a tereyaki type sauce as opposed... More

When on reaches this extraordinary place one has begun a journey to the centre of the Earth, or at least to the centre of the Tahiti volcano crater. The 4x4 tour vehicle has bumped and twisted along the road for nearly two hours, one has had a river pool swim, and the guide has said to unbelieving ears that the... More

My husband and I had lunch at Restaurant Moroto when we took a full day safari tour around the inner mountains of Tahiti. Our food was delicious but I was so hungry by the time we arrived there I could have ordered more than I did. There was a language barrier between us and the server so it was hard... More

An integral part of the Tahiti Full Day Inner Island Tour. Need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to access this mountain high restaurant. There is no where else to eat in the valley. The food is average at best, but the prices are exceptional. $45.00USD for a burger, fries and a beer.

We came here for lunch as part of our tour with Teiva & his discovery tour. What an amazing place to have a few drinks & lunch. I had the Polynesian meal - poussin cru & my husband's goat curry was very tender. Worth the visit.

Lost in the middle of a tropical island in a rain forest full of waterfulls and magical beauty. Pretty much alone except for maybe a small tour group showing up at the end of your meal. On the top of a small mountain with valleys and mountains covered in green all around, above and below you. It was a magical... More

The place is nestled in the mountain inside the volcano which overlloks Tahiti Island. The location is actually the main asset, the place is supposed to propose wine testing evenings, the food is ok but not exceptional and the rooms at a YMCA level, but it can be a polynesian experience, and a stop to to further into the mountain.
