The Tahiti cafe is a cute little place on the main road. It serves the freshest fish and best sashimi ever. The platter was a must and the different spices and sauces are great. After so many places with heavy meals, the fresh and lightness of the food at the Tahiti cafe is a godsend. The staff and friendly and... More

If you love fish, particularly raw fish, then this is a must in Rarotonga. Located pretty close to town (on the NE side) its a small restaurant with a lovely little rustic garden setting, but the draw is the food, which is incredible. The ladies who work there are wonderful and they know how to cook. The sashimi was amazing,... More

We've eaten here loads of times and I thought I had reviewed it already. It's a hidden gem. These ladies really know their fish. Every time we go we have the fishermans platter. It's a huge sharing plate and comes with 4 different styles of raw (one is seared) fish. All are mind blowingly good. They have this secret sauce... More

This is a wonderful cafe, the fish on the platter was in four different styles offset with some tasty rice. The flavors for each were different but complemented each other really well. Staff are lovely and the setting is sweet. Wonderful place to have a truly delicious lunch.

Although on the main road this cafe takes a bit of finding, but is well worth it. Recommended by a local and only opens when fish is fresh. We had the platter for two - really good value and a good indication of other dishes. Unfortunately only discovered in last couple of days on island but next time we are... More

My partner and I visited the cafe on Tuesday 29 March 2016 for lunch. We had the shared sashimi seafood platter consisting of four different types of sashimi (tuna). (1) sliced raw fish with a specially made oyster base sauce, (2) Marinated sashimi in soy sauce with garlic and tahitian spices (3) Sashimi with garlic, ginger and lemon pepper and... More

Great secluded little cafe hidden within thick bush it is certainly a hidden gem if you do come across it I would recommend the fisherman's platter it features a range of everything the cafe has to offer and is amazing.

Had lunch here 4 years ago and fell in love. It was just as good this time round. They offer a variety of raw fish dishes which our group got one of each. They were all beautiful but the Tahiti style raw fish was the stand out. The sashimi is also devine. Everyone must try this cafe when in Rarotonga

Loved this place so much, I ate there 3 times during our stay. They only open if they've caught fresh fish, and it was tuna where we were there - served various way, salads sashimi/cerviche etc. style - great flavours. Would definitely recommend eating there.
