Had breakfast on a Saturday morning with my mum and siblings. Really nice atmosphere and lots of food options for breakfast. Very affordable too. Coffee was good too. Service was good, but took a while for our orders to come.

We had a snack meal but my roast veggie panini was so tasty and the coffee was good too. They do set business lunches and other bigger meals which we didn't try but looked good.

Cafe Brasilero is cafe culture. Stop in for a coffee, read the paper, converse with a friend...this is your place. Warm inviting vibe will draw you back. The food is pretty good too. We just happened to stumble across this little gem when checking out the old town and had a cup a. The second time we ordered the afternoon... More

Excellent sandwiches and pastries. Excellent coffee and good selection of beers. Clean, comfortable, good wifi, good service. No pressure at all to vacate the table. Enjoyed the morning coffee that much we went back for lunch.

My wife came here at about 2:30 p.m., when it wasn't crowded. The food (salad and pasta) was not extraordinary, but good. The service was just right. What people come here for, I imagine, is the ambiance. Cozy, wood-dominated interior, with jazz music playing in the background. Lots of interesting photos and drawing on the walls. Would be a good... More

The historic Cafe Brasilero was recommended by a friend as a nice place to eat. We had breakfast there and it was a wonderful experience. Great decor and ambiance. Staff was friendly and efficient. Would love to have something like this in my neighborhood at home!

We are in Montevideo for a week and have been to Cafe Brasilero twice already. Wonderful ambience and historic interior. I asked the waiter a question (I am miserably lacking in Spanish). He invited me behind the counter and typed a translation into Google. What a nice guy! Have the Cinque MInutos--cafe cortado with two medialunitas, wonderful, buttery crossisants, all... More

Best place for coffee in Ciudad Vieja. It's a very classy place and the coffee is very good, which is not easy to find in Montevideo.
