We visited in June with my parents and 2 kids, 5 & 7 year olds. The place is located in the outskirts of Montevideo, beautiful large hacienda with extra attractions such as a car museum, donkeys and peacocks. The food is delicious, the ambiance wonderful. Something truly unique to try there is the membrillo soufflé for dessert. We went on... More

Very nice short trip to Montevideo outskirts: an outstanding lamb picanha, a nice tour to small and selective winery and also the private car collection. Worth doing!

Not cheap but worth it. Have a nice wine tasting with harmonisation of cheese, ham and breads. And paying for that you have a free guided tour through the Vineyard and the winery plus an automotive and motorcycle museum.

We visited a few vineyards outside Montevideo and this one disappointed a bit. The restaurant offers a cosmopolitan attitude, but the food is pricey and just average. The wine is good, but again pricey. Even for Montevideo. The wine tour is a must if you make the trip, do not miss the historically classic cars.

obligatory stop for those going to Uruguay is a tour of the wineries Bouza and is the first that appears, face in any travel guide. The place is beautiful, has a great restaurant and the wines are perfect. But what is really tasty in Uruguay, that warm welcome from a friendly people, is obscured behind any business professional in high... More

The wine tasting and lunch was fantastic. The wines were clearly explained and there was no pressure to buy any of the wines later. The lamb with pumpkin mash was amazing, though the salad was a bit salty. The winery tour was short as it's not a big place and the classic cars collection was nice, but didn't fit the... More

We ended up here after unintentionally booking our stay in Montevideo over Easter. With the city largely shut down, we researched nearby things to do and kind ourselves here. Compared to the Bodegas in Carmelo, this one is a bit more touristy. There were at least 30 people on our tour. They do have a cool antique car collection that... More

Beautiful location, excellent decoration, really interesting wines and food of almost the same calibre. I go here a couple of times a year with guests and love the ambience. Regrettably, the food and service do not quite match the atmosphere: I have learned that steak ( not strangely in UY) is a reliable cut but they never prepare it to the same... More

As part time residents of Carmelo, Uruguay, we were delighted when a friend recommended Bouza. We'd already fallen in love with their wine, so when we decided to take a trip to the Bodega we were pleasantly surprised. The dining experience was one of the best we'd had in Uruguay, the setting is hard to beat, the antique auto collection... More

Description
Besides the fact that you can come to have a guided tour throughout the winery, vineyards, wine cellar and a classic car museum you can also have wine tastings and lunch. We think that the best food is usually the simple food made with high quality ingredients is the best. Our speciality are the grilled meats but do not hesitate to try our more elaborated dishes. We recommend if you are paying us a visit to do it chill, not in a hurry so you can enjoy your staying the best.
