This delightful restaurant, within walking distance of our hotel, was a fabulous find. A blend of Indian, Thai and other gourmet offerings, the food is phenomenal! We shared the samosas and a shrimp appetizer and then the Red Naan fish dish and the duck curry...each one was highly flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The decor is comfortable... More

We took an Uber from Carrasco one night to eat here, based on the good recommendations on tripadvisor and from friends who live in Montevideo. We were two couples. The meat eater in our group LOVED his duck dish. Was blown away and couldn't stop raving about it. The rest of us, vegetarians, one gluten-free, found things to eat, that... More

Went for a family celebration. Nice place, not so big, great dishes, good service. But: spent 35 dollars each and two of our children got sick that night. Maybe was the raw egg of a mouse, but the fact is that we couldn't sleep that night.

Dear Federico, Tadory is a restaurant where hygiene and food manipulation is top priority on a daily basis. Our customers health and satisfaction is a huge part in what we provide as a restaurant. All our staff, Chef owner and his family, on a daily basis have lunch and dinner with the same food from Tandory's menu and no indication... More

This is the third time I visit Tandory, and I must say that it never disappoints. The three courses are excellent and the waiters are always ready to tell you which meals suits best with the others or what kind of dish you should order for your tastes. The dessert, Tropical Carpaccio is a must have and you should always... More

My friend and I took a taxi to this restaurant after researching curry houses in Montevideo and decided on this one. We arrived before opening, however the staff noticed us outside and opened up 15 minutes early to allow us to start our meal. We were warmly greeted, and given an iPad each to not only look at the menu... More

Uruguay is well known for its parrilla and asado. This is not a typical Uruguayan food restaurante. If your are willing to taste a wonderful pumpkin, banana and comino soup, as a surprise appetizer and excellently flavored food, you are in the best place in town.

This is one of the best places to visit. Very hood service and food. You can enjoy your plates with very good wines. Price is not cheap.

When you stay in Montevideo longer than 3 days, you are bound to experience "parrilla suffocation" as alternate styles of cuisine are few. However, the most significant problem with alternative restaurants is that they are all under the surveillance of a secret police organization which I call "The Anti-taste police". When you seat at an italian, or armenian or chinese... More

Dear William, First of all, thank you for your time and interest in providing your comment about your experience at Tandory. As we offer an alternative within Uruguayan restaurants, with a menu inspired by the diverse gastronomy around the globe, Chef Gabriel is more than willing to be reached and by request, he will offer intense seasonings for each of...
