I and my husband stayed in Montevideo for ten days and tried to visit Ruffino three times for an early dinner, as open yours were advertised as 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM. However, we were not successful as the restaurant was always closed. Finally, on our last day in the city, we made reservations for 8:30 PM and managed to... More

The salmon ravioli was great, the chocolat marquisse didn't look like your typical marquisse but boy it was tasty! The place was packed and it was only 8.30 pm on a Friday. I thoroughly recommend this little italian bistró, my compliments to the cook and the staff

I stopped in for dinner yesterday because I needed a break from steak. I was not disappointed. I had the spaghetti carbonara, which was as good as any I've had in Rome, and a quarter liter of the house white. For dessert the waitress recommended the flan con dulce de leche (I've discovered that this is what all waitresses recommend... More

Nice restaurant with original Italian food and nice wines. Good service and they provide extra safety opening, closing the door for only customers. Also affordable.

Recommended by our hotel america, but the pasta sorrentino alfredo just tasted like flour. No herbs, no spices, almost no cheese, just tasteless greasy white flour sauce. The housewine was terrible. Only the pizza tasted like a regular pizza (althoughnit didn't have the promised ruccola on top) so that's the best choice if you really want to eat there.

A family-run Italian restaurant that is one of the very best places you can find to eat in the centre of Montevideo. There is a great variety of dishes on offer and the quality is very good. Recommended for both lunch and dinner - it is popular, so come early or book in advance.

This place is around the corner from my condo but I only tried it once before unmemorably. Tonight I was Jonesing for thin crust pizza not the normal wadge of rubbery cheese on a thick gummy crust. It exists here and was not half bad albeit a little overpriced. The problem is the place: negative decor, little air conditioning and service... More

We came to this place due to the hotel staff's recommendation. After reading the TripAdvisor's reviews, we decided to only try pasta as main dish. We ordered prosciutto and chicken salad as starters. At end of the order, the waitress asked something unclearly. Since we did not get it, we just said "ya...". It ended up the cold cut meat... More

On Sundays, many restaurants and closed, and this particular Sunday was El Dia de Padre, so the open restaurants were quite crowded. When I got a table here, I felt lucky just to be in a restaurant. When my appetizer arrived--brie topped with carmelized onions and a balsamic reduction--I felt even luckier. And my pizza was very good: thin crust... More
