We visited this restaurant as part of a large tour group. The meal served to us was typical of a cultural pachamanca meal. Lots of varieties of meats and vegetables to eat. Very good food and service.

Amazing Peruvian restaurant with great food. My 10 year old son loves the chicken with applesauce and I loved the shrimp. So glad we came here. Highly recommended by my son and I!

In the middle of a remote town this rustic restaurant offers surprisingly good food; the atmosphere is warm and service is very good. This is a great choice in Urubamba.

Everything we ordered was excellent. We went there for lunch, the service was really good, very friendly. We were very surprise with the high quality, excellent flavor and affordable prices of the restaurant. Highly recommended.

As a San Francisco resident, I can say this rivals our trendy 4-5 star restaurants, for a much more affordable price. (Entrees in the 35-48 soles range). We had a prosciutto, arugula, fig and potato appetizer then the alpaca lasagna and quinoa soup. Alpaca lasagna was unique, delicious, and like nothing we had had (not tomato based). Great presentation! Warm... More

We stayed in Villa Urubamba, they recommended this and also based on trip advisor reviews, we decided to go there for dinner. If going for dinner, you need to book a taxi because the entrance is off an alley with a small sign that is not lit up. Very cozy with amazingly tasty food. Cost is reasonable compared to USD. Worth the time to experience.

We have only been in Urubamba for two days but this place was amazing! Great atmosphere, wonderful service, delightful and inventive menu. We had the trout, chicken two ways, and the alpaca carpaccio. Everything was delicious. The owner was also very gracious and attentive. He made an effort to ensure everything was correct and service was without fault. There was... More

A jewel hidden in Urubamba. We went without reservation but I advise to make a reservation in advance. Everything was perfect, the food, the cozy ambience and the service.

El Huacatay in Urubamba is a wonderful restaurant. The food was beautifully presented, the recipes creative and thoughtful with exceptional ingredients. Our meal was served by wonderful wait staff and the atmosphere, --whether you sit inside or out, is just perfect. I am so happy we were told about this hidden gem. Enjoy!

Thank Denise K
