Can't beat the location, was great fun watching evening trains arrive from Machu Picchu as we dined. Excellent service, thoroughly enjoyed the lamb medallions, and the spicy chorizo pasta, and a bottle of Argentinan cab sav.

We had dinner at El Albergue and it was very good. The fresh pastas are tasty and the portions are large. The service was friendly and efficient. The prices were OK for the overall quality.

Many people had recommended this restaurant to me so I went for lunch. The lunch menu is very limited and everything off the regular menu is dinner price so unless you like one of the lunch offerings you don't save any money by going for lunch instead of dinner. There were very few people when I was there, but there... More

Guests at the hotel are given priority at mealtimes - every time a train arrives at the station there is a surge of people trying ( mainly unsuccessfully ) to get in. The food is super fresh and excellent however. Booking is necessary for evening meals, even if you are staying at the hotel.

We were stranded in a small town Ollantaytampu the town where the Peru Rail takes people to Machu Picchu. We hit on a quaint hotel but wanted to feast on a delicious meal. Thanks to Trip Advisor we went to eat at El Albergue. The meal was amazing the service and staff were helpful and courtesy. The restaurant farms many... More

We really liked the food here, we ate here 2 times, almost 3! Most of the food in town near the plaza is the same old pizza and stuff. Everything we don't like. We loved that El Albergue used local ingredients and they made dishes that were very tasty. It definitely is more pricey than the other places. I really... More

I went here with my sister and father while they came to visit me when I was living in Ollantaytambo. We had a great meal here and fantastic (the best!) pisco sours. The service is wonderful and don't miss the outdoor patio if there's a spot! It's also a great place to go for lunch, definitely less people (as they... More

Returning 8:50 PM from MP we were concerned nothing would be open in Ollay for dinner. Glanced in at what appeared to be just a coffee shop to see a family with full meal table, and decided to try it. What a find! The organic garden is 2 minutes away so the vegetables were practically just picked. Had an excellent... More
