Didn't stay at the hotel, rather bought a package including lunch at the Belmond's buffet. Actually requested it from the travel agent and paid a supplement. Imagined serene surroundings, a well made cocktail perhaps, pleasing outlook over Machu Picchu. Oh my. What an extraordinary betrayal of a brand. Think prison mess with cheap pine furniture (really!), extra chaos and ever... More

At $40 per person, this buffet restaurant is okay for those who have just visited MP and am feeling hungry and wish not to spent 45 minutes going down to eat their meals at the town below at half or 1/3 the price . Truth be told, the food around MP area and the town below is just meant to... More

This was a good buffet and the service was great. We enjoyed a lunch as we arrived at the hotel Sanctuary Lodge, which hosts this restaurant. Only this restaurant and one other snack bar have anything to eat at Machu Picchu.

This buffet had a great variety of items to choose from. Everything I tried was very good. This is your chance to try something new. Very busy, but wait staff was quick to get what you needed or answer questions. Clean and items were replenished in a timely manner. A little expensive for a buffet.

$40 per person. Juices are extra!!! Food is just ok - was quite disappointed with this buffet restaurant. Service is non-existent! Only reason to eat here is if you don't want to wait 25 mins to get to Aguas Calientes for food OR if you want to get more than a sandwich at a bakery at Machu Picchu. Lots of... More

Anticipate an unpleasant dining experience in a madding crowd when eating here at lunchtime. The food is acceptable, given the customer volume, without being great, but the atmosphere is basically dreadful. Better to bring sandwiches and eat in a nearby public area. You will not be able to take a backpack into the ruins themselves, but you can retrieve it... More

First let me say that the well prepared and beautifully presented food dishes and the choices were beyond our expectations! Everything was delicious and HEALTHY!!! $40.00 USD per adult. Try the different corn drinks and save some room for the many spoon licking deserts! This is the best buffet I have ever eaten from. Very clean and nice attendants. We... More

Lunch at this buffet was included in our tour ticket. FOOD: The food was ok, but not great. I thought it tasted lower quality than other buffets we ate at in Peru, then I got a nasty surprise the next day to confirm it. I ate salads, ceviche and house made drinks here because I thought a restaurant in a... More

Let me just admit that I am not a fan of buffets. So the chance of me rating a buffet very highly is almost nonexistent. The buffet outside MP I expected to be even worse than normal since it is 1. very pricey by Peru standards and 2. has a complete monopoly on exhausted and starving hikers. But the food... More

In this buffet which was part of our day at Machu Picchu ,the staff were very friendly and were busy cleaning tables and refilling the dishes . As most people at the historical site were eating here it was busy at lunch time ,but we were able to find am empty table . Lots of choice of dishes both hot... More
