I liked the place , the service and the people but it was not easy to find normal food in the menu . Most dishes were way too fancy . It is more for the event than for the food itself.

Our hotel concierge couldn't get same night reservations, but suggested we show up at the 7:00PM opening for seating at the bar. Same menu, good people watching and a more informal way to savor excellent cuisine.

I'm a solo traveller on a reasonably tight budget, but I have Gaston's cookbook at home and am planning on splurging one night in Lima. What are the prices like? Is it best to do the tasting menu?
