The decor and style is less intersting and rather plain but it does have nice natural light. Would recommend this restaurant but only if you can't get in to the other bigs (Central, IK, AG, Maido, ect) They deliver fresh delicious bread but it's not free. For an appetizer, I got the steak of fois gras. I questioned whether I... More

Elegant and comfortable are the two words that came immediately to mind as I stepped through the door of Rafael. An exposed brick wall separates the restaurant from the small bar and lounge area and there's a long cream banquette running along one wall. All of the waiters carry scrapers to ensure that your starched linen table cloth is not... More

We had reserved a month ahead of time and so glad we did, the place was packed on a Wednesday night. We were very impressed with the variety of the menu and the service was exceptional. From the expertly mixed martinis to the delicious apps and main meals, absolutely no negative comments to give. It is pricey by Peruvian standards... More

Food is just OK. There are many and better choices to go in Lima to experience the wonderful peruvian cuisine. They charge you for service upfront with an odd description of if they were charging for the bread. They do not serve you water unless you order bottled water. They are not good with drinks. OK with food.

We visited the restaurant to celebrate my birthday and the food was excellent and the service from Joao was first class. I had ceviche and a beef curry my wife tuna tartare and ravioli had a nice bottle of Cloudy Bay which was a nice find in Peru. I would have given this place 5 stars had it not been... More

We were in Lima for culinary tourism...We had high hopes for the visit, but it didn't lived to match them. We got a rather late reservation (10:30pm), and servers look tired a little stressed. We got the sensation they were actually waiting the shift to end, which wasn't good to set the ambiance for a enjoying nice food. It seems... More

Rarely does one get an outstanding starter, main course AND pudding. Brilliant ! Romantic, cool without trying too hard, this place is populated by Lima's 30-50 year old elite. Prices of course are high but justified. There's nothing pretentious either which is relaxing. Rafael's mother apparently insists on one dish being on the menu which is a handed down recipe... More

Restaurant is nice, offers typical modern Peruvian cuisine. Ambience is nice too and service is efficient and polite. It is not a cheap restaurant but its food is worth the cost. I had the typically local ceviche and it was indeed excellent. Second course was a seared tune fish slices with salad. To say it was excellent would be an... More

We enjoyed a great meal here on our last night in Lima. It certainly matched, and even exceeded, other high-profile restaurants we dined at during our stay. Make sure you have a reservation or you could end up eating in the bar area. On a recent Tuesday night at 8:00 pm, the place was nearly full. We started with some... More
