We arrived on a Saturday for lunch right as they opened at 12:15 and the entire restaurant was full in minutes. Seating is at picnic tables where you are elbow to elbow with people you won't know. Servers can be overly efficient and brisk and...are not always patient with explaining all the fish options and preparation options, but that's ok because the seafood here is so amazing that you'll be comparing notes with fellow diners in no time and drooling over each plate is it arrives. Each day the fresh fish that comes in from the sea is listed on a chalk board. Servers cross off individuals fishes from the board as they are ordered. When you place your order you pick which fish(es) you would like and in which preparations (for example they can do a ceviche and a jalea from the same fish) and they bring it out as it's ready. I highly recommend the conchas (scallops) - they are outstanding. But everything we ordered was delightful. The reason to arrive early is to have the best pick of fresh fish available for that day. When it's gone it's gone people. It's that fresh. What I loved about dining here was the the informal, authentic Peruvian feel and the quality of the seafood - it's full of locals just enjoying weekend lunch in family. Prices are perfectly reasonable for what's delivered. Don't miss it when in Lima - we were recommended this restaurant by several different chefs we know in the region.More

They use the entire fish! you have the option to pick 3 ways to eat it! Not only was the food delicious but they also had one of the best pisco sours I've had in Lima. It was a pleasant experience as well as a...nice meal. Definitely recommendMore

Its been my second time in this restaurant and I just cant wait to come back to Lima to try it out again. It`s and incredible concept what they have. If you don`t like to share your table nor food, this wont be your cup...of tea. First of all you will be greeted by a very nice host wich will direct you to their bar if your table(with previous reservation of course) is not ready. Order the special bloody mery, the best i´ve ever tried. Once you are seated order your fish and let yourself be recomended by the waiters on the different styles ways they have to prepare it with, of just look at the black board and select your favorite. Every part of the fish can be used and barely any wastage left. Incredible. Service is very friendly and helpfull and the food is beyond expectations. From Lobster Causa to Mixed Ceviche. It has been a delight and im looking forward to visit you once again.More

My husband and I had been told about this place and were super excited to go. We loved it! A huge recommend from us. Here's the low down: First up, this restaurant is in the Surquillo neighborhood, just across the expressway from Miraflores. Tons of...reviews are like, "Don't walk/bad neighborhood!" I couldn't disagree more. We walked from our hotel in Miraflores and had ZERO issues. The area the restaurant is in is more "local" and more industrial than Miraflores, but we felt totally safe the entire time. The bar opens as early as 10:30 am. I believe we got there around 10:45 am, under the impression they start serving at 11 am. Nope, food service begins at 12 noon. I still recommend going early. We got put on a list, sort of. No one actually took our name at that time but they remembered us when we came back and we were one of the first to be seated. But I'm sure you could leave your name, they have a hostess. To kill time, first we went to a small, cute coffee shop across the street and had a coffee. Then we ended up walking back over to the Indian Market Miraflores and I bought a nice scarf. We wandered back around 11:40 am and had a drink at the bar. We had pisco negronis, which were awesome! Shortly after 12 noon we were seated. The restaurant is airy and modern with wooden tables. There's a huge ice tray full of fish. We were told when the fish are sold out for the day, the restaurant closes! The fish and their weights are listed on a chalkboard. We asked our server's advice on which fish and which size to get and went with their recommendation. We also got an order of scallops on the shell. The food was terrific! One of the best meals we had in Peru (and maybe one of my favorite meals of all time). The restaurant prepares the fish three ways: ceviche, grilled with an excellent sauce, and a soup from the bones. The scallops were also fantastic. We were there 2.5 hours and totally stuffed by the end! The cost is pricey for Peru. But we live in Los Angeles, so it seemed totally reasonable to us. A truly memorable lunch!More

The restaurant is very simple, yet clean and pleasant. Today's catch Seafood are listed on a chalk board showing quantity of each item remain available. Every minute some staff walk over and revise the number. Every dish we tried was fresh and tasteful. The waiter...of my table was able to speak English well so all seafood and features are well presented. None of the dish was disappointing. It is the place that I will definitely revisit if I come to Lima again.More

We stumbled upon this restaurant without realizing how delicious it would be! They seat you next to people at long tables like a Bavarian bierhaus. Both drinks were delivered quickly, despite the business, and delicious. You order a fish and they cook it for you...multiple ways. First you receive the ceviche and fried parts of the fish. The ceviche is the best I’ve had in Lima. So fresh and with a nice, mild kick! Next, you get the rest of the fish grilled. The sauce was bright, buttery, and full of citrus and the fish was tender with a nice char. Finally, they give you a soup made from the bones. We could barely finish a cup because we were so full, but wow was it good. They served us my favorite meal in Lima!More

We googled best ceviche and this place was close to where we were so off we went. At first I wasn’t interested in waiting two hours to be seated but everybody around me seem to think that was a great idea and well worth it....So we reserved and got a drink and then began the adventure. The waiter was great and very knowledgeable. When the fish started coming in so many preparations my mouth was watering and enjoying every bite. I totally recommend this place for the food And the atmosphere. Everyone there knows you are going to wait but it’s worth it. The decor is nothing special but it’s not about that it’s about the great team work of the employees and the amazing food they produce. I’ll be back the next time I’m in Lima.More

One of the best options for lunch in Lima. Choose a fish and have a soup, a ceviche and close with it cooked the way you want. The ambiance is great, service outstanding and food is excellent. Just don’t arrive or leave walking, not safe....Arrive and leave in a taxi. There is no chance you wont love this place.More
