We were early and welcomed in. The service was excellent. The main meals excellent. I had artichoke soup which was tasty and different. My husband's beef meal was cooked perfectly. My chicken dish was covered with an amazing sauce that my husband couldn't stop talking about. The GRAND FINALE was the amazing dessert of 2 donuts perfectly cooked stuffed with... More

Found this jewel around the corner from our hotel tucked into a quaint alleyway off the street. Eclectic atmosphere and tasty food made for a great combination. Service was friendly and efficient. Menu in Spanish and English. Prices reasonable. Absolutely would recommend this place to others.

I've been @ Saqra in August 2016, for dinner; even not booking in advance we found a place in the terrace, a bit cold but more than confortable. The food is good, hi quality and delicate Peruvian taste. medium high price, but you are in Miraflores...

My wife and I have been in Peru for two weeks, most of that time on a lodge trek to Machu Picchu, where we had some fabulous meals. Nothing holds a candle to the last dinner of our trip at Saqra. Just before they served my osso bucco the waiter set a clean fork and knife at my place. The... More

This charming Tudor-style building in the middle of the Miraflores district has excellent food. We had a rich osso bucolic and a delightful chicken with mild chili flavored cream sauce. For dessert we had a wonderful chocolate ball with sorbet and praline. It was not crowded, even at 8 PM on a Friday night, but it may soon become more... More

My daughter and I go to Saqra frequently when we visit Lima. The restaurant itself is lovely, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food has never been less than superb (and this is counting our approximately 10 -12 visits). I'm a vegetarian, so I cannot personally review the meat dishes -- though my daughter (not a vegetarian) raves about... More

We had dinner af Saqra. The food was very good - particularly the gnocchis, lomo soltado and desserts. The service was friendly and efficient.

We chose this restaurant since I had read about it through Trip Advisor and our guide for the day had also recommended it. It was a short few blocks from our Arawi Hotel in Miraflores. My husband chose the sword fish and I had the tenderloin steak anticuchos, which you will read about below in the photos. For dessert we... More

We visited Saqra based on TA ratings and concierge recommendation and it was well worth it. We went for dinner and despite arriving 30 minutes late due to typical Lima traffic we were accommodated immediately with an option for indoor or outdoor seating (sort of chilly so we stayed indoors). Interesting takes on some typical Peruvian dishes (ie mushroom seviche,... More

Description
Saqra, from the Quechua language meaning “little devil”, “naughty” or “mischief maker”. Saqra also refers to one of the characters found in the festival of the Madonna of Carmen in the village of Paucartambo, Cusco. Here, this happy little devil wins the heart of the Madonna with his childish pranks and mischief making as he dances around her playfully in the procession. These ideas inspired the creation of Saqra as a restaurant bar that offers modern Peruvian food where we reinterpret the Peruvian identity in a playful and contemporary key, conjuring up fun and colourful results. Saqra, in essence, is not really a place but a state of mind where this little devil plays a delightful host who wants that all his guests live a unique experience, where they meet again with their the inner child, sometimes long lost.
