Maido is a good Peruvian Restaurant with good food and excellent service. However it is not a 5 star restaurant and the food is certainly not Michelin star. With limited table decor and hard seats combined with a lot of casually dressed (ball caps on)...More

Total transparency: I’m no culinary expert, but I really like good food, and when you’re traveling and a top 10 restaurant in the world is in your city, you try to get reservations (and we got lucky). First off, the staff all yells “Maido!” when...More

OMG..I can't say enough good things about this place. The decor is beautiful. The wait staff is plentiful and right there when you want something. You can do a tasting menu or a la carte. Today for lunch I did a la carte. I tried...More

The wait staff, food, wine, everything were excellent. We actually were expecting it to be much more expensive, went for lunch, ordered a la cart, had a bottle of wine and it was no different than a lunch in San Francisco on that level. Excellent...More

Fusion Japanese/ Asian. The food is very good and unique; not something you could find at typical Japanese restaurant.

Standard experience, too pricey. I won’t repeat the experience. Located in a very small area in Miraflores, the place has nothing special. Food was OK, prices of drinks and wine were astronomic.

My wife and I met a friend here for dinner. This was our first visit and we were not impressed. We ordered a la carte. I had a small fish slider and a beef dish that was accompanied by rice and cheese. Both dishes were...More

Having read about this restaurant being in the top 10 restaurants in the world I thought I would visit during my recent stay in Lima. The problem was that I went with very high expectations and it just didn't and could live up to them....More

Food was very good, but not terribly creative or innovative. Seems like the restaurant is resting on its laurels a little with all the accolades it has received. The worst part is being bullied to add a tip by the waiter hanging over you at...More
