LARCO MUSEUM! We were impressed with the Museum... we spent the whole day there! We didn't know about the Restaurant and we were enchanted by the beautiful, charming, carefully prepared space... we had dinner with a beautiful view, delicious dishes, wine and memories that we...will take from this day and learnings from the visit to the Museum! don't miss it!! stay for dinner upstairs!More
Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. The atmosphere and surroundings of the restaurant are absolutely amazing! The food is incredibly good. I recommend the La Causa & Fish! Food portions are a good size! The drinks are great! Pisco Sour is the best; a great variety...in the wine selection! The service is A+++. Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended, it's a wonderful place and the food is awesome!More
As a "vegetariano," there weren't a lot of choices, but I went for the spinach gnocchi with tomato "sauce". I wouldn't exactly call it "sauce" - it was more chunky tomatoes, with mushrooms, basil leaves, etc., but it was terrific! I'm planning on having the...rest for breakfast tomorrow. I also had the lemongrass lemonade, also excellent, and finished off with a double espresso. Sorry for the fuzzy picture - my iPhone was just about to die. And, of course, the museum - wow, just wow! All sorts of artifacts from pre-inca to post-inca. You could see the development of pottery skills over time. These folks were true artisans. There were also weapons, burial baskets (with the body still inside!), various jewelry, tools, textiles - and the textiles claim to be the highest thread count of any from antiquity (498 threads/inch), all by hand. Not to be missed!!!More
Booked a reservation 1 week in advance for 14 guests to dine at 3pm, our order was taken at 3:25pm. To begin with, the restaurant did not have lemonade so we had to settle for any other drinks. By 4:47pm we still weren’t served and...the waiter approached to let us know that our order will be delayed another 10 minutes. By 5:05pm still weren’t served. The waiter blamed the administrator because, supposedly, the salon was closing at our arrival. I don’t think any restaurants close their salons at 3pm. Waiters offered a shrimp causa. 1 SHRIMP CAUSA for 14 people and 3 tequeños, as “courtesy”. First and last time I ever come here.More
Estimado David, Ante todo, saludarte y agradecerte por dejarnos comentarios de tu visita al restaurante el pasado 22 de abril....More
Lovely terrace to enjoy yummy peruvian food, attentive staff and beautiful and peaceful surroundings. It worth to go there just to access the restaurant. However, a minus is no parking available around (and it has to be a miracle to get one of the few...spots available for the museum/restaurant). It is a shame since it is a bit far away and not finding where to park up to 10 blocks is a no-go. So we had to take a cab. A plus: they have wheelchairs available for seniors in case those are needed.More
it was pretty good, but I wouldn't put it in the top 10 as some reviewers have. TA has it #29 which also seems generous to me. but certainly worth an extra star as the setting is gorgeous and the service is outstanding. food was...good, a little overpriced, but I absolutely recommend it if you're visiting the museum (reviewed separately)More
Great customer care from beginning to end. The service was impecable, clear and helpful. The meals were exquisite, fresh, and cook to perfection. Congratulations to the chef
We visited the Larco museum restaurant for lunch. The place is fantastic, as the tables are under a kind of gazebo, surrounded by plants and gardens. The attention was very good, and the dishes that we chose were very well presented and of high quality....An excellent choice for lunchMore
We went to the larco museum a beautiful house on lima representing one family's collection of pre Colombian artefacts. The latest dk eyewitness guide recommended the restaurant but WOW! A most beautiful location round a garden with masses of bougainvillea. Great wide menu and wine...list all at reasonable prices. Tasty peruvian cuisine traditional and creative. Thanks to the hostess and to renato and Brian for excellent service. We go back again tomorrow to see the non naughty part of the museum and have lunch again. A perfect jewel of a restaurant. Make sure the sun is shining!More
Nine friends signed up for the museum tour and dinner. The tour was fine but the dinners were overpriced and overcooked.
Amazing food! Great service! Very attentive. Gave us great suggestions for our lunch. Johnny was awesome!! Lovely location. Museum is great as well.
This restaurant has a great mixture of Peruvian fusion food, it is certainly a great place for diners who enjoy slow eating and relaxing while doing it. I love this place, waiters are very professional. Prices are a bit on the expensive side.
The Larco Museum is a must see in Lima coupled with a delightful meal at the cafe. Get reservations for the cafe and if possible, eat outdoors. The food is amazing and the pico sours delicious.
Good cuisine in a very nice setting. Nice place to relax. Lush greenery in a city with a desert climate.
