Not the best menu place in Iquitos but OK if you're hungry. Better options are Huasai opposite, and Mitos y Cubiertos just off the plaza.

I went back to El Tunche as i have eaten there several times, and usually get a good and flavorful meal there. However El Tunche Restaurant is no longer in business.

Food is just OK for the price and servings are certainly generous but the menu is a little limited and rice or spaghetti dominates the plate. Service is friendly but watch out for the toilet as there's a step down as you enter and it's dark in there.

Different menu options (usually something wild/game on the menu) but the execution of the dishes was not that great. They have added Pollo a la Brasa to the menu now to bring in more of a crowd?

I found this place by accident after finding The Huasai closed for the day, and ended up going there nearly every day. The food is well presented, with quality ingredients and something a bit different from the other restaurants around the place. They have a daily lunch for 10 soles, (entrée, main and refresco) and a small ala cart selection.... More
