We went to the Huasai restaurant to look at Grippa's paintings The proprietor didn't know much about them but rang Francisco so we could talk to him directly We then had a very pleasant lunch of chicken in a Peruvian style Great service and very friendly staff A good lunch stop in Uquitos just off the main square

I love this place for lunch. Lovely traditional Peruvian lunch. A little more pricey (15 soles) than many lunch menus in Iquitos, but the service is great and the atmosphere is always buzzing.

I ate at el Huasai several times while in Iquitos. During lunch it is filled with locals. They have a different menu everyday. Its 15 soles for an appetizer, an entree and a small juice. Its such a great place to try different foods that are typical in Peru. Everything I had was delicious! They do start to run out... More

This eatery is cheap and popular but the food is no better than average and the staff rush you in and out to make space for those waiting. It's not a relaxing place. An entree and a main served at the same time means one or other is cold by the time you get to it.

I love Peru's lunch specials all around the country and El Huasai is a great place for it. For 15 soles you get a full course lunch and it is very delicious and when you arrive you will notice that the place is very popular. Try the cebada drink!

The restaurant is recommended by tourists and locals alike, and that was why we went. They have a special menu that is very inexpensive but it is all in Spanish. However, the waitress was really nice to explain to us what it consist of. The portions were huge and we couldn't finish eating it. Location wise, it is very close... More

No wifi makes you look around and feel the real act between people, mostly locals and some tourist The serving girls there are very very gentle and careful. I visit the place many times during my 2 weeks. In food way you get what you pay for. Good homemade food with no gringo feeling like in other places. Thank You//... More

This place is popular with locals for their breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and the price is right! Sandwiches are simple but good, and they have a nice lunch fixed-price
