About
It is the only gourmet restaurant of typical local food. We do not make fusion style. Located in the old palace of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui, we have vegetarian options. In Deva you can found the ancestral cuzco culture through its gastronomy. It is atended by its own owners. We have different Peruvian wines and piscos, and you can enjoy, if you wish so, the traditional "chicha de jora", drink that the Incas offered to the Sun in the Inti Raymi

Deva is probably one of the best restaurants in Cusco. Anticucho, Cuy and Alpaca as well as our deserts were prepared perfectly with a creative spin supporting the whole experience. The service was kind and thoughtful, prices reasonable. If you want to enjoy Cuy, make a reservation in order to fully enjoy this special dish.

We searched for a "traditional Peruvian" dinner away from the tourist hubbub and discovered this hidden gem! From start to finish this was a treasured memory to last a lifetime. It is two blocks away from the main square of Cuzco (Plaza de Armas) but feels like transported to a different time and place. The restaurant is tucked away unobtrusively in what used to be an Inca palace, with original foundation and stones forming parts of and underlying the restaurant.
We were greeted and seated by the owner/head chef (Federico), second, we were seated and he patiently explained the various choices on the menu.
We ordered the grilled beef heart and quinoa soup as appetizers, then the alpaca, cuy, and osso bucco. We were first served small glasses of chica jora (Incan corn beer) which were uniquely refreshing. The appetizers were much enjoyed, after which our server gave us fresh utensils and meticulously wiped the table in preparation for what was to come next! We savored the crunchy/crispy cuy, the tender alpaca, and the wine-infused osso with gusto.
Federico back back to converse with us about the history of the restaurant (11 years in business!) and its many architectural features. It all capped off a night to treasure of our time in Cuzco!

We went there with my partner to try the famous peruvian guinea pig. It was good, but later on I learnt that the portion they serve is small compared to other places in Peru, but that may be how it is prepared here. Anyway, it was good, but for that small guinea pig I felt it was a bit expensive.

I visited this place for dinner with my family and we loved everything!
Located close but away from the town square, the restaurant has a modern interior with nice music playing in the background.
The owner and chef, Federico(?) patiently answered my parents questions about the menu and suggested we try the quinoa soup. Aside from the quinoa soup, we ended up ordering the cuy, beef saltado, alpaca, and another beef dish I forget the name of.
The food was phenomenal ! My dish was the beef saltado and was easily better than any beef stir fried I had in the US. I couldn’t quite pinpoint it but the sauce seemed to have a nice touch of wine. Every dish was unbelievable!
Highly recommend this place- food, service and decor was excellent.

This is one of the best meal we had in Cusco!
We had the traditional Cuy and Alpaca Steak. The texture of the cuy was super crispy, and the Alpaca steak was unbelievable, the perfect flavor fusion with chimichurri sauce and quinoa with cheese. The interpretations of each ingredients either taste or presentation wise is super talented!! We had a lovely conversation with chef Frederico, I can tell he is very meticulous and passionate about what he does. A must go in Cusco!!

We had a great experience at this restaurant. The starters were exceptionally delicious. We had cuy, and while it was very tasty the stuffing was slightly salty. The service was incredible, we got the chance to choose our cuy and make our own pisco sour. Great experience!

One of our best experiences in Cusco. My husband and I stumbled upon this place after looking for some of Peru's authentic dishes (think: cuy, alpaca, chicha morada). We ended up with a lovely dinner- the food was fabulous with alpaca cooked to perfection, tasty quinoa, and tender chicken. The drinks were also tasty with a nice variety of beverages local to Peru. Lastly, you could not beat the hospitality. The owner served us and welcomed us to Cusco with great conversation and food. 100% recommend if youre looking for a quiet, delicious, local dining experience.

The food was amazing and the service was outstanding! The waiter spoke very good English to help us select our meals. They gave us samples of their Chicha de Nora and I loved it so much but wasn’t feeling up to drinking a big glass of it he gave me a little extra! I highly recommend this restaurant to try Alpaca steaks!

This restaurant was close to my hotel and was quiet when I stopped by for an early dinner. I decided to get the alpaca which was delicious along with the sides it came with. I also enjoyed the complimentary samples. Service was quick and friendly.

One of the best places in Cuzco for Cuy (Guinea Pig). For the faint of heart they will ask you if you want it served head or no head. If you enjoy beef jerky and dry ribs or chicken wings you'll love Cuy.
Great Pisco Sours. Love the historical and table side mixing.

We happened upon this place while walking the town. It was not busy, but we were there mid-afternoon. Though our server didn't speak much English, we managed just fine and the chef came out to confirm our order and then again after the meal, for a nice chat. We enjoyed roast pork and ceviche and both were excellent.
