We made reservations to sit up on the rooftop, and enjoyed a nice view with a blanket and warmer. However; the service was literally a joke. The place was not that busy but somehow everything took forever. The waiter never addressed the issue, nor was she personal at all. The people next to us had to speak to a manager... More

Nothing more to say. All food was really good! Maybe a bit pricy for peruian standard but absolutely ok.

This place was a true gem in Cusco. The shrimp coctail with avocado and mango was super and the alpacca steak fabulous. The evening was a bit cold but plankets and gas heater helped to keep us warm. The view over Cusco was spectacular. Our waiter served us with nice smile and was most helpful selecting wine which he found... More

A place to safely try cuy... They have a really tasty Saucahita (pictured)... Rooftop view is very good but very limited seats... Great food presentation... However, it is on the pricier side...

We found ourselves at Marcelo Batata because we couldn't get into another (well rated) close by restaurant. Although we had no reservations, the Marcelo Batata staff was able to find a table. Boy, were we glad we chose Marcelo Batata. The Lamb with Cheese sauce and Potatoes was the BEST dish I had in Cusco. My friends both ordered the... More

Came here without a reservation and they were kind enough to squeeze me in. I had the papas rellenas which were very tasty, as was their pisco sour. I also really enjoyed the sauce and home made potato chips they offered you with your meal. It looks like the roof deck is also quite nice, but it was a bit... More

Delicious brocheta de alpaca, the pisco punch was also very good. The location is also excellent. The service was very fast and the server even offered us a choclo on the house.

Had a lovely time sipping wine and eating appetizers on their rooftop patio. We managed to time our visit for the sunset over Cusco, and it was truly breathtaking. The waitress worked SO hard to make sure we were comfortable -- she brought us blankets, turned on the heater, and made several trips up and down the stairs to keep... More

This restaurant is worth visiting - but get there early to get a seat on the roof top terrace. The food was nice, if a little slow, but the views across the roofs of Cusco made this visit standout for us. Easy to find just behind Plaza de Armes

Our kitchen offers both tradtional and avant garde cuisine, always focusing on rediscovering age-old recipes that allow us to take yesterday's flavors to today's table. Our specialty is Criolle and Andean cuisine where we highlight the essence of this beautiful mix of varieties that provides us with an endless array of flavors and that each Peruvian carries in their veins. In appreciation for all products we utilize we allow ourselves to play with new flavors and sensations based on the immense diversity of native products available: aji (Peruvian chili pepper), distinct passion fruits, avocados, rice and corn varieties are some of our favorites to explore with. Slow cooking dishes and the high flames of our grill are our favorite preparation techniques to use here at Marcelo Batata.
