I had an amazing alpaca steak with anticucho sauce. The alpaca streak was sublime, very tender and juicy. Service from Alonso was professional, prompt and attentive. I will recommend to those visiting cusco

We stopped at Marcelo Batata for lunch after seeing it mentioned in the LP. The rooftop view took our breath away. The food did the same. They offer a lot of traditional Peruvian dishes in vegetarian versions. We enjoyed our visit a lot.

Very friendly staff. You've got to go up to the rooftop, the viewing platform gives you a 360 view of Cusco. Food was out of this world, very very good. Our server was Alonso, he was very nice and friendly and gave good suggestions.

The food here was excellant . We had alpacha kebab and alpacha chilli con carne. Both were really tasty. In the restaurant itself ypu can see the chefs working hard in the kitchen. Our waiter, Alonso, was laso excellent. Very attentive without being over the top. An enjoyable evening.

The food was delicious with large portions, great menu with lots of really delicious dishes (typical Peruvian cuisine). The dining room is small but charming and also features rooftop dining. The food is truly outstanding and very creative. The fresh fruit juice (a mix of seasonal fruit blended and served in a glass bottle). Our meal was fabulous we eat... More

Absolutely amazing restaurant with a phenomenal view and they even accommodated us in the cold. they have heaters and blankets to make it all nice and comfortable. My server Alonso was outstanding and patient with us. Even though it was very cold on the rooftop and we insisted on sitting there (yes I was one of those guys) they were... More

Wonderful rooftop patio with heaters. Small, but very cool (literally…the nights are chilly). Great place for a Pisco Sour. The staff provided blankets and heaters. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but from what I saw, the restaurant downstairs was very popular with a good atmosphere.

Had a fantastic meal tonight on the roof deck. There are plenty of heaters and blankets, dress warm and enjoy the view. The menu is contemporary Peruvian and everything we had was delicious. We had a vegetarian in our party and a large selection of the menu dishes are marked as being modifiable to vegetarian or glueton free versions. Our... More

Would highly recommend visiting this bar during your stay in Cusco. Great appetizers and fantastic drinks. The view was incredible from the rooftop. The concierge at your hotel can easily make a reservation for you. Easily walkable from the square.

Description
Our kitchen offers both tradtional and avant garde cuisine, always focusing on rediscovering age-old recipes that allow us to take yesterday's flavors to today's table. Our specialty is Criolle and Andean cuisine where we highlight the essence of this beautiful mix of varieties that provides us with an endless array of flavors and that each Peruvian carries in their veins. In appreciation for all products we utilize we allow ourselves to play with new flavors and sensations based on the immense diversity of native products available: aji (Peruvian chili pepper), distinct passion fruits, avocados, rice and corn varieties are some of our favorites to explore with. Slow cooking dishes and the high flames of our grill are our favorite preparation techniques to use here at Marcelo Batata.
