This restaurant was fantastic. If you weren’t looking for it you would pass it up. As small sign outside then you have to go upstairs to restaurant. We sat on the rooftop terrace and had a great time. It was a chilly night so they...More

Off from the main square, this lovely little restaurant showcased some amazing dishes. The houmous was to die for and the lamb saltado delicious. We didn't dine on the rooftop, so cannot comment on the views.

The food is very good, nice service. the tables are a bit narrow: you do not get privacy but still, there is a nice atmosphere.

We had a great night on the roof. We had a delicious avocado appetizer followed by lomo saltado. The meal was good, but the view really made it.

We had a large group and reserved an upstairs table. But it looked like there were plenty of walk-in tables available.

Our kitchen offers both tradtional and avant garde cuisine, always focusing on rediscovering age-old recipes that allow us to take yesterday's flavors to today's table. Our specialty is Criolle and Andean cuisine where we highlight the essence of this beautiful mix of varieties that provides us with an endless array of flavors and that each Peruvian carries in their veins. In appreciation for all products we utilize we allow ourselves to play with new flavors and sensations based on the immense diversity of native products available: aji (Peruvian chili pepper), distinct passion fruits, avocados, rice and corn varieties are some of our favorites to explore with. Slow cooking dishes and the high flames of our grill are our favorite preparation techniques to use here at Marcelo Batata.
