The lamb with 3 Cheese and the Chocolate mousse are OUT OF THIS WORLD. I love taking groups here. The staff is great if you have 1 person or 20. You gotta go if you are in Cuzco!

The restaurant is located in a narrow street in Cusco. Two Floors up the building, you'll find a cozy restaurant with an open kitchen. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

After getting a little frustrated with slow and forgetful service in lesser establishments in Cusco, we were thrilled with the location, view, service and food quality of Marcelo Batata. Peruvian food really is delicious when done right, but so many lesser quality places do a mediocre job, it can leave a tourist less than impressed. You will love your experience... More

Had a great dinner experience here which we stumbled in by chance while walking around. Alpaca in honey and garlic was delicious as was the hummus starter. Waitress was also nice. Would strongly recommend.

We went here for lunch our very first day in Cusco and were lucky enough to sit on the terrace--get there early or make a reservation if you want the view! Food was DELICIOUS and service was wonderfully helpful. Highly recommend! Yum!!!

My husband and I stopped by for lunch and were able to snag a prime seat on the patio without reservations. The panoramic view of Cusco itself is worth a visit, but the food and service were also incredible. Our waitress, Cinthia, was very friendly and helpful. We had pisco cocktails, the salted avocado appetizer, quinoa soup, and potato stuffed... More

Everything was delicious!! We had the alpaca steak and the stewed lamb in fried mashed potatoes. I'd highly recommend both. The basilica cocktail was divine! The service was impeccable, the best we had in Peru. Soraida had excellent recommendations and was very patient in allowing us to practice our Spanish even though her English was perfect!

Our kitchen offers both tradtional and avant garde cuisine, always focusing on rediscovering age-old recipes that allow us to take yesterday's flavors to today's table. Our specialty is Criolle and Andean cuisine where we highlight the essence of this beautiful mix of varieties that provides us with an endless array of flavors and that each Peruvian carries in their veins. In appreciation for all products we utilize we allow ourselves to play with new flavors and sensations based on the immense diversity of native products available: aji (Peruvian chili pepper), distinct passion fruits, avocados, rice and corn varieties are some of our favorites to explore with. Slow cooking dishes and the high flames of our grill are our favorite preparation techniques to use here at Marcelo Batata.
