The staff were very friendly and helpful. My daughter was introduced to a Pisco sour which became a favourite and I tried the local black beer. The alpaca burger is to be recommended and also the trout ceviche. It was not expensive by UK standards.

All the waiters were amazing. Miguel was our main-host and he had so much knowledge about every dish and drink on the menu. The price-quality is superb too. I definitely recommend KusyKay to everybody.

After an exhausting but wonderful day visiting Machu Picchu, we stumbled into Kushka. What a find. The staff was attentive and engaging. Food was tasty and authentic Peruvian. The ceviche, Pisco Sours and entrees were delicious.

We arrived at this restaurant at the invitation of a friend and we were impressed by the architecture, the food and the service. A very positive and enjoyable experience for our family. Many thanks to Leonidas for all their attention to us.

My husband’s pick. Pleasantly surprised! My husband really wanted to try Peruvian Cuy, but I was less enthusiastic. He of course ordered the cuy and I ordered the trout. The cuy was just the experience my husband was looking for, but also, the sides that...came with it (including alpaca stuffed pepper) were delicious! My trout was one of the best meals I’ve had in Cusco. Would definitely recommend it!More

We were treated like family at this hidden gem restaurant. The manager made us feel very welcome and gave great suggestions for our meal. The guinea pig ( the reason we went) came out dressed with a pepper hat and posed for photos and then...was taken away and prepared so we could eat. I cant say it's a meal I would choose again but that's not a reflection on the restaurant, just my personal taste, all the other food was delightful.More

We ate here to try a roasted guinea pig and it was amazing! Luciano our host/waiter was very funny. They prepare the guinea pig whole so you can take pictures and then divide it up afterwards. Great ambiance, it is a very nice place. Would...def. recommend.More

One of our tour guides recommended this restaurant because I wanted to try cuy for the first time. The owner, Luciano, really made it a great experience. My husband has celiac disease and must adhere to a gluten free diet. Luciano was very helpful with...helping us choose options that were safe for him. We shared the roasted cuy and the trout. It was so much good food! We enjoyed all the sides that came with the cuy. We also appreciate how Luciano presented the guinea pig so nicely so we could take a picture and then took it to the back to remove the head. He showed us how it is traditionally eaten with the sides. At the end he also gave us an anise spirit drink to help with digestion. All of the little touches and the hospitality was great! the restaurant's ambiance with the candle light and art around is very nice as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.More

Had a great experience at this restaurant. The owner was super friendly and offered us suggestions on food we may like. We had potato with a peanut butter sauce, chicken soup and also avocado and crackers for starters followed by the famous cuy (guinea pig)....It was delicious and the trimmings on the side were even better (make sure you have the peppers stuffed with alpaca). Overall a great experience that I would recommend anyone to try.More

The owner, Luciano, is such a warm, lively character. He went to extra effort to explain to me how one of their delicious sauces are made, when I told him I love cooking. I had the alpaca and it was really delicious, washed down by...some aniseed liqueur for dessert. Was not that busy the night I went, but this is one place that really should be supported.More

I never write reviews until I am home from vacation, but this is an exception. We just stumbled upon this place looking for some out of the way lunch. It’s not far off the Plaza de Armas, but it’s worlds away in terms of atmosphere,...food, and service. It’s cash only. Fantastic traditional Peruvian food and accompaniments as well as availability of other things like pasta dishes. I had the alpaca kababs, and they were perfectly seasoned and cooked. My husband asked me if we could move in there he liked it so much. Nice bathrooms, bright and lovely atmosphere throughout the restaurant and bar. We only have a few more meals in Cusco, and we will likely go here again!More

No. Disappointingly, they do NOT take credit cards and we were surprised to find this out, not seeing any signs notifying the customers. We had to travel some rather sketchy streets to find an ATM and then return.

I can't remember seeing Pigeon on the menu, but I have eaten them in France and they were delicious. Also both meals I had at Kusikuy were very good.

Bias? Last time I checked, "vegetarian friendly" meant that there were options for vegetarians or that they could modify items on the menu. If you have a problem seeing a whole cuy on a plate, you have a problem with... More
