we ordered two soups and a kuy (that we have preordered during the day to avoid the 1h wait for the preparation). everything was absolutely delicious!!! luciano was really really nice and helpfull, he even advised us to stop ordering as we would have too much food (and he was right). one of the most tasty diners in cusco, you... Located close to the Plaza de Armas, Kusikuy is a popular restaurant in Cusco where many tourists come to try the cuy (guinea pig). The restaurant is spacious and clean. The owner/manager was very friendly. We tried the roasted cuy which was very good. The cuy skin had a thick chewy texture so maybe the fried cuy would have been... More

Couldn't go back home without trying a cuy and what a better way to experience it than here! They cuy comes to your table in one piece and garnished with a hat made of local vegetables! It was an awesome sight! The service offered by Luciano was great. Gave us some good insights in what exactly we were getting into!... More

My husband and I returned here tonight for their cuy , and it did not disappoint. We called ahead for a reservation, and they prepared the cuy in advance--it takes one hour to prepare. The restaurant seems to be run by a husband and wife team, and it almost feels like you are dining in their home--Very intimate. We have... More

The food here is really good, and the atmosphere is so cozy. We had a nice waiter, and even though the food was a little slow, it was okay. Only downside, is the massive flight of stairs you have to climb to get up there.

Food was delicious and the service was excellent. English is somewhat spoken but is definitely understood by the staff so they can help you if you can't speak Spanish. There's another restaurant near the same area with the same name so you have to make sure that this one is the one you go to. You'll know because the entrance... More

You cannot go wrong here - be adventurous and try the alpaca or Guinea pig / absolutely spectacular. Great ambiance in a great setting. The owners are incredible and will go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Highly recommended!

I read about Kusikuy and we decided to try, as it catered peruvian fare. We had alpaca, which was really good, I really recommend. A couple nearby ordered the cuy (guinea pig), which came whole! They even garnish it as if it had a crown! Staff was very friendly and tried to make us really feel welcomed.

Went here on the recommendation of friends, just to try the local guinea pig, ok I'm not a great lover of meat, but thought I would give it a go! Firstly they ring it out so you can take photos Then cut it up in the kitchen! I do relive they actually bring the same one out, but that's me... More

It's not often I say something was just perfect, but everything about this restaurant, this food, this experience .... really was just perfect. My husband and son shared the cuy (guinea pig) which was cooked beautifully. I'm not an adventurous eater like they are, so I ordered the pork chops which were delectable. Luciano suggested the guacamole as an appetizer,... More
