About
The power of the Pachamama, or Mother Earth, is displayed on the dining tables of PACHAPAPA in the form of the noble foods with which she regales us. Like a ritual pulsing with energy, mealtime becomes a revelation as the aromas of the Andes waft out of the earth oven in the central courtyard, or our slow-cooked dishes emerge from clay pots, infused with generous flavors. Rustic and rural, PACHAPAPA is located in an old mansion in the traditional neighborhood of San Blas, or T'oqokachi, across from the Church of San Blas, the oldest in Cusco. Offering traditional dishes from Cusco and more, in an atmosphere that pays homage to the region’s customs, art, and mystique, local handicrafts and cuisine

It is hard to say for us, but my wife and myself really enjoyed the cuy there. Sure it takes time (1 hour), but it was well worth the wait. For us it was not only nice to try this traditional dish, we have to...admit it was also quite tasty. The restaurant itself is very nice located and the service was great, too. The Chicha Morada was superb and we really enjoyed our time there.More

Beautiful restaurant , great atmosphere, great food and great service. Highly recommended if visiting Cusco. Trying Cuy was beyond me as I'm not that brave and I cant eat pets. Lots more on offer though and a really enjoyable meal and evening.

I am writing this review about 10 months after we ate at Pachapapa which says how memorable the meal was. We spent nearly two weeks in Peru in early June 2019. Near the end of the trip while in Cusco someone recommended Pachappa. It was...by far the best meal we had in the country and we had a lot of good meals. I just wish we could have gone back another time. The ambiance was cool and relaxed. The staff was attentive. The food was amazing! If we ever come back to Peru which my wife wants to do, my only requirement is another meal at Pachapapa!More

We have been told they have the best cuy in town, and we were happy to have taken their advice! They bake the cuy in the stone oven and carve it for you. The desserts were also very delicious. The service was good and we...recommend dining here for a great experienceMore

This was our last real meal in Peru. It was PERFECT. On par with our first meal at Astrid & Gaston. The Cuy (guinea pig) was Devine. It is like the best succulent dark meat chicken you’ve ever tasted with mouth watering crispy skin. So...good!!! Service (Luis Alberto) was top notch. He was so patient & informative. The empanadas del orno & lomo saltado were also a damned delight. The empanadas had a light flakes crust and soulful meat filling. The Lomo was medium rare and fork tender. The fries with the Lomo were probably the best I’ve ever eaten, wasn’t expecting that. The culinary delights just kept coming. Started with a mule that was a worthy prelude, so gingery. My daughter had a hot tea that was served with flare. I wish we’d had room for dessert. I can not sing high enough praises. TIP: Do order ahead of you want the Cuy or it takes an hour. We just stopped in & then shopped for a bit.More

As a group with varied dietary restrictions, we were well accommodated in this beautiful restaurant. Andy took excellent care of us and had a wealth of knowledge to help us decide what to eat. Truly recommend

We really enjoyed our dinner at Pachappa. David was our waiter and was so personable and helpful. We weren't quite brave enough to try guinea pig but we did try a variety of other dishes - each were delicious.

Excellent food and service given by Roger and staff. We had the ceviche, sacred trout, and lamb, all were excellent but the special lamb was a little dry. Live harp music. I highly recommend! I want to go back for the pizza :)

Had a great meal, expensive but live harp music, extensive wine list and excellent food and service. Wood fired oven is central focal point. Had a potato entree followed by Guinea Pig which was wood roasted for 1 hour. Yum

We were 10 so booked. As other reviewers have said depends on numbers. But to be on the safe side, just book. Takes the risk out of your evening.

I never made reservations, it is always full but they always find a table, even if you sit with others.
