The MAP Café/Restaurant is one of Cusco’s best restaurants, the menu for which is directed by Coque Ossid, well known in Peru for his gastronomic talents and who studied at the Arpege in Paris, the MAP Café is located in a courtyard at the back...of the city’s Pre Columbian Art Museum and is a space with all glass walls. With a group, we had to select our dishes from a set menu the day before but none were disappointed. The food here is indescribably good and all the dishes (and between us we tried just about everything) was superb. From the famed Andean Mushroom Soup, raw Amazon fish, the Corvina, Alpaca to the most delicious and unique desserts imaginable - frankly I've never seen food presentation to this standard. Everyone raved about their choice, I went with the Lucuma Kisses and it was presented so beautifully, it was a shame to eat it but I did and yummy; the lemon pie was also a wonderful surprise. This restaurant is not cheap but the experience was just so worth it. It is open for lunch 11:30 – 3:00 and dinner from 6:00 to 9:00pm daily except Thursdays.More

In the courtyard of the museum, MAP gave us the best meal we had in Cusco. It's in a small (compared to the courtyard) glass-enclosed structure. Our meal was great, with mushroom capchi, corn ravioli with veal cheeks, chicken confit with pumpkin, and lucama kisses....Excellent meal.More

Great place for dinner or lunch, focused on serving a modern twist on Peruvian food. Comes with white tablecloth, professional waiters, good atmosphere. Dinner has a wide selection in the prefixed menu, all great choices. Highly recommended to foodies.

My Family and I had a wonderful meal at MAP Cafe Inc Cusco. We came half an hour before the restaurant opened and Ronal seated my wife and myself and our two small children before they were open. Ronal provided us with excellent top notch...service that you would expect at a 3 star Michelin restaurant. Ronal was simply incredible and catering. I know Cusco hosts a l lot of tourists but nevertheless he was incredible and its a service that is very very rare. It was our two year old daughters nap time and the servers got my daughter a blanket an pillow and helped me place her at an empty booth so she could sleep while we could eat!!!! They got her milk for her nap time as well. A lot of high quality restaurants give you a snooty look when you bring in kids and I get it but not this place!!! As for the food, it should easily be a 1 star Michelin and in my mind it is. We had the the mushroom soup and cebiche (both excellent) as a starter, the vegetarian canolie and the beef tenderloin medallions (both excellent) and I cant remember the names of the deserts but both were excellent. My children were served chicken tenders and french fries and they were in heaven. The bread service here is pretty darn good as well. This meal is pricey for Cusco and Peru in General but it is excellent and worth the stop. I highly recommend if you have the resources. Thank you again Ronal and Map Cafe team!!!!More

Jeffrey was our waiter and he really was great to us and we had a great conversation...with him. Thank you Map Cafe, I recommend this great restaurant if you visit Cuzco.More

We had dinner here with our small tour group. Lovely environment with good food and service. Located adjacent to a museum in a glass house.

The dishes were very tasty, and presented accordingly. The staff extremely helpful and professional. We were unlucky that a large and rather noisy Korean group effectively ‘took over’ the place during our lunch, but the waiting staff dealt with them with patience and professionalism, staying...calm throughout. The location is nice, on the quiet inner square of the Pre-Columbian art museum. Highly recommended.More

There were 6 of us who visited for dinner and there was only tow other couples there so it was not busy. It is a very small restaurant. We felt very hurried along with ordering and even the wait person pushed a couple of us...to certain selections. The food was mediocre art best. I am not sure if they were short staffed or what the problem was but I certainly would not recommend this place.More
