We stayed for 3 nights at the Belmond in a one bedroom suite. The quiet environment, unique historic building and a staff that is always smiling makes the Monasterio one of my favorite hotels. Everything is executed to perfection to make sure you have a...More

Located only a few blocks off the central square with a top notch jewelry store across from it, a former monastery, we always hit the lower level with a massive stone fireplace usually lit at night, comfortable chairs and a bar. Music piped in is...More

A very elegant stylish (and expensive) place to have a cocktail before dinner, it was a treat and we sat in front of the wood fire and were very well looked after by the attentive staff. It's tucked just behind the main square and is...More

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and also had a light dinner at the bar. The food was fresh and well presented. A great selection of wines.

Overall, the hotel is exceptionally beautiful. The staff are attentive to every detail. We have no bad comments at all. Truly a quality experience. Certainly at the top end of the price range for the area. Well worth it if you're looking for a trouble...More

The city of Cusco is buzzing. The hotel reception is flat out busy with 'checkers' in and 'checkers' out but once you walk through the doors to the main courtyard, there is an air of tranquility and calm with beautiful choral music playing in the...More

Hotel and rooms are beautiful, but very overpriced. Avoid room 214. Extremely hot...even with the windows open on a cool evening. Also not so prompt at making the room up.

An historic building well preserved and a wonderful location to experience Cusco. We stayed here before and after our Machu Picchu visit and the Montessario is a relaxing jump off and recovery experience. With the great service, attention to the guest and relaxing grounds, is...More
