Upon arriving on a Monday evening the "door guy" asks if we have reservation..No we don't. No problem the place has 4 customers. He asks for our name then enters that in the reservation book apparently for security ( does a potential bandit give a correct name..what's th point in this one) Anyway in we go. A very nice atmosphere.... More

This is the sister restaurant of Astrid y Gaston in Lima, and like all of chef Gaston Acurio's restaurants can be relied on for innovative and tasty cuisine. The ambience here is more relaxed than in the Lima restaurant, though the building itself is equally beautiful -- one corner of a centuries-old colonial courtyard, fronted by a cozy and inviting... Really great cheese ice cream - although sounds strange, taste really good! You can also try some typical Peruvian food (eg. rocoto relleno) very friendly service

If you like to eat in a cold inside court, gas-heating blowing in your face, mediocre food served on ice cold dishes, this is THE place to go. The only positive thing was then nice bread and that our waiter was very friendly. ( he understood my dissapointment)

We had hoped to eat at Chicha as it was one of the noted places in Arequippa. Even though we arrived at 6:30PM and few tables were in use, we did not have a reservation. We were however, fortunate to request to eat at the bar and had a show by the skilled friendly mixologists. The same menu was available... More

We had our first lunch in Arequipa here and the food was very good. I had the Chupa de Camerones and it was delicious. The breads they served as a starter were very good as well. We also splurged with the chocolate souffle and it was well worth the wait and calories! I loved the atmosphere.

After arriving in Arequipa in the morning, our group of 30 people had arranged for a lunch here with a set menu, to make it easier for the restaurant. We had chosen the simplest option: Soltero de queso (a salad typical for Arequipa cuisine) then Aji de gallina (an old "criolla" recipe) and for dessert Queso helado. The start with... More

The selection might not be great for someone who is lactose intolerant or coeliac etc but for me the chupe de camarones was perfect. So the 5*. It might be marginally more expensive than other restauarnts in the area but I am sure the difference in price is reflected in the food quality. We also tried MIXTOS whihc is more... More

Very good food Acurio style and the best Pisco Sours at the bar. We visited three times and were never disappointed. Bartender was very sociable and informative.
