Upon arriving in Arequipa on our first day ever in Peru, our guide suggested several area restaurants - two highly rated ones near our hotel, or El Montonero that served "good Peruvian food" and sometimes had live music. Since we were in Peru, we opted for eating with the locals and, boy, are we glad we did! We enjoyed the... More

I was invited to visit Arequipa on business and i was glad they took me here. The food is fantastic. They have te best selection of dishes from the Peruvian highlands. I specially recommend the stuffed 'rocoto' chili.

After a very long and stressing day, a very deserved lunch !!!! With family and friends. Here you can enjoy a several and great food. Flavors are marvelous, very good soups depending on the day of the week and other typical courses. In Arequipa people use to eat a lot so It's better to share and don't forget deserts, specially... Comimos una parrilla y un plato del menu. La parrillada parecia hervids, el aji malo y las papas fritas pesimas. El plato de comida criolla sozo. El peor arroz verde que comimos. No lo recomiendo We ate a grill and and one dish of the menu. The parrillada seemed hervids, bad aji and french fried potatotoes poor. Without tasty dish... More

We came here and sat on the patio upstairs which had an amazing view of the city. We noticed that they had a lot of food that is known to los Arequipeños, so we used this place to try it out. I ordered the cuy chactado and my husband got the double. I knew I was going out on a... More

I tried shrimp soup - Chupe de Camarones (46soles) and it was very nice and very big portion. Not too far from the center. Clean toilets. Very nice staff. There are some options for vegetarians.

Pretty poor experience: the food (seafood grill) was tough, or undercooked (chicken); of the on the menu mentioned 4 items of my grilled seafood only 2 were actually served, although after a remark one mollusk was added. The wine bottles of relatively expensive wines weren't shown at the table (glasses of wine came directly from the bar). The Hawaiian sauce... More

This place was recommended by the staff from the hotel. We have had the best ceviche so far there! Staff and location are very good!

From our guesthouse we were recommended to have lunch in this restaurant which was a good recommendation! Absolutely a good choice is the ceviche! And the portion served of all dishes are big.
