I found this place because of the reviews on TripAdvisor and I wasn't disappointed. I had my hotel make a reservation, just in case, but when I showed up, my reserved table was right next to the bar/kitchen, so there was a ton of foot traffic. Not a very relaxing environment. I asked for another table and about 5-10 minutes... More

I had the quinoa soup and the three meats dish. Both were excellent and would recommend wholeheartedly. Good value as well, 85 soles total for a starter, large main and a cocktail at a clean and fancy place. Also the wait staff were attentive and friendly. I had one hell of a sodium hangover the next morning though, beware of... More

Just what a good night out at a restaurant should be about: great food with local influences, lively and bustling atmosphere, good service, nice location. Their signatory dish (the 3 meat platter including alpaca meat) is hearty but worth it!

We had a great experience here, the food was really good! The lunch menus are amazing, and the drinks are great. We had the pisco special that is to share and we loved it. We would definitely come back!

This place was alright. It has some good Peruvian cuisine, but the prices were steep. The service was a bit slow as well.

The restaurant, the food, the atmosphere, everything just perfect. We had a slight problem with the waiter but it was mended in the end by the manager with some pisco! Everyone was amazed with the meat plates ans everything we ordered. I personally recommend the meat trilogy, so you can try different kinds of meats. Be ready to spend from... More

The Alpandina dishes offered by the Zig Zag Restaurant are the result of a creative culinary fusion deeply rooted in the mountains, where the sun endows foodstuffs with energy and balanced components. The dishes most representative of Alpandino gastronomy arise from a marvellous synthesis of unique time-hallowed ingredients from all over Peru, combined with ancient and modern culinary techniques from the Alps and the Andes. One of the results is our great speciality: Volcanic-Stone-Cooked Meats and Fish. This culinary concept was generated specially by the restaurant's proprietor and Chef, Michel Hediger from Switzerland. During the course of many years in Arequipa, Peru, he has developed an original gastronomic proposal which enables one to savour different kinds of food prepared in an exclusive, healthy and very natural style, so that the restaurant's customers might compare and enjoy the country's different flavours. Located in the Historic Centre of Arequipa, opposite the lovely Plaza San Francisco, the Zig Zag Restaurant, with its impressive cast iron staircase designed by the famous French architect Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, is a unique place to enjoy a gastronomic evening with a difference.
