The service was warm and excellent, the food was tasty, the coffee was better than average. The restaurant was clean, cozy, and well-decorated. It is touristy but very well done and well-priced in comparison to other tourist-oriented businesses in the city.
In Ecuador hotels and hostals have to provide 3 meals a day to their customers. Therefore on a Sunday or Monday when everything is closed, head for the hotels. I recommend The Forum Hotel's restaurant: La Brasserie.
