We spent there a dinner for a birthday and we had a great time. The food is well made and has some interesting dishes that you usually dont find in Ecuador. The service is really good, they take care of absolutely everything! The veranda outside is the best place to have dinner. Sorrounded by orquids, trees and other types of... More

We had a weekend getaway to celebrate my wife's birthday and decided to have dinner by the chef Sondro. My wife is gluten intolerant. So after a short discussion with our waiter -- he aaked Sondro to come to our table and discuss those menu items from which my wife would be able to choose. Service was prompt and friendly.... More

Restaurant is in the back of the lobby of the hotel. To start with, the lobby and the restaurant are both beautiful. Next, the service was equal to any we have ever had including the few 5-star restaurants we've been to. Our meals were excellent. A very romantic evening. And by US standards, modestly priced. Wish we could go again!

This is the best restaurant in Cuenca by a long way. Incredible food with stellar service set in a beautiful colonial mansion. For a meal of this standard the prices are also cheap. If you're in Cuenca and you like good fine dining make sure you go to Casa Alonso!

We renewed our wedding vows at Mansion Alcazar earlier in the day and booked a romantic table in the glass garden room to celebrate. We both have a bit of a "thing" against "forced romance", but this was SO REALLY romantic!!! They picked out the best table for us and let us go in for pictures before the restaurant was... More

From the moment my companion and I walked thru the door of Casa Aonzo, tucked beautifully inside Mansion Alcazar Boutique Hotel, the experience was first rate, of the highest quality. We were greeted warmly, shown to our seats at an immaculately set table complete with scented flowers. The salads were as beautiful as they were imaginative and delicious! My companion and... More

The restaurant is located in probably the only Cuenca 5 star hotel, a very beautiful place, whose ambience somehow reminds me of the Plaza hotel in NY. First class service, with a very beautiful table setting. The food presentation is simply magnificent. And no, the portions are not big :). Invited for dinner my Ecuadorian friend, a true gourmet chef,... More
