Taita becomes our favorite bakery in Cuenca. We are food lovers and especially bread lovers, and this place makes amazing products. The regular baguette is so good, very crunchy and tasty. We also tried another type of bread and the chocolate croissant, loved it! We...More

Super Friendly Staff, Laid back clientele (mix of locals and granola Gringos). Our favorite after breakfast stop. Very close to city center in between Todos Santos Church and Pumapunga so it is a great place to refuel on a museum walk. Just look for the...More

Coolest bakery I've been in a while. Food and service was great! Large variety of good bread. I must say prices were really adorable. And the music is great too. No bus music here. Thanks!

It was amazing, best bread I have tried in Ecuador. They also sell other bakery products. Reasonably priced as well.

My friend took me here on a recent visit to Cuenca. She said the place was fairly new and she raved about their chocolate croissants. I was not disappointed! They had a pretty nice menu and most notably a varied and unusual tea selection. I...More

This was a fantastic lunch stop after visiting the big cultural museum down the road. The veggie sandwich was flavorful, large, and cheap. Definitely recommendable. My husband got one with sliced nest that he said was okay, but wished he'd gotten the veggie one. The...More

I've been looking for a good, French-style croissant in Cuenca without any luck (full disclosure: I've been here only 3 months). But today, I stumbled upon Taita, on Calle Larga, near Todos Santos church. My BUTTER croissant was quite good (would have been better earlier...More
