Enormous dining room, tasting menu, comfortably furnished and good, upscale Ecuadorian food. Perfect service--as we were the only people dining that evening.

Our dining experience was first rate! The Theatrum picked us up at our hotel and returned us after dinner. The menu options were wonderful, and the service exceptional.

We went there two times for dinner. The food quality was very good. The atmosphere was very nice and the service excellent. Prices were rather high. Great place for a nice dinner - highly recommended if you stay in Quito.

Well...if I could I'd give it 4.5 stars but that's not an option. Just a few tiny tings keeping it from a 5. Firdt5, I do recommend it. It was very good. Good service. Good atmosphere. Wine was great. We did the pre fix menu and had a variety of local tastings. All were good..most very good. The main thing... More

My husband and I had lunch at this restaurant b/c it was recommended in our guidebook. The dining room was almost empty and the decor is not great so we had low expectations at the outset of our meal. I had the braised lamb and my husband had the grilled tuna. Both were delicious. The lamb may have been the... More

We wanted to go somewhere special to celebrate our last night in Quito and this place lives up to its reputation. Classy, chic and tranquil. The menu was innovative and the wine list most engaging. The chocolate lava cake together with mint ice-cream was heavenly. A truly fabulous evening!

Our restaurant is located in Quito's Historical Center on the second floor of Sucre National Theater, Cultural Patrimony from the XIX century, an expression of renaissance classicism. In the entire second floor it is located the most important restaurant in Quito, THEATRUM Restaurant & Wine Bar that offers an extraordinary menu of the vanguard Mediterranean cuisine. One of our emblematic dishes is the Grilled tender octopus with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, garlic tossed in pesto vinaigrette. Our classic Ecuadorian prawns on the grill with avocado mousse and tomato fondue.
