A truly wonderful dining experience. Would highly recommend, had one of the tasting menus and each dish was terrific. Would definitely return

A great place to dine with a large group...and small group too. We were 12 strong...and as we all know, serving a large group can be challenging. The staff at Theatrum were up to the challenge. They took our orders and served the food without a hitch. The kitchen obviously was well trained as our food came out very close... More

Yes the service is wonderful here. (Although I wish the servers hadn't been told to use the work "mister" to address men in English instead of "sir". It was a little strange.) What bothered me was that I'd been to the website and had prices and dishes in mind only to find out that the website must have been at... More

We had lunch here as a part of our Celebrity Cruise day tour of Quito. The buffet had a nice selection of food. The service was great. We ate out on a beautiful balcony.

The two of us each selected one of the tasting menus, so we could try a little of everything. The appetizers were so flavorful and the ceviche was perfect. Our mains were very good and this is the best cuy (guinea pig) I have ever eaten in Ecuador or Peru. One recommendation: try to avoid the hot bread rolls. While... More

What a delightful way to enjoy the beautiful Teatro Sucre. She and her musicians are fabulous. Wish I could have understood Spanish but, the emotions and beautiful music cancelled that need. Children and their families are fortunate to have her music

My husband and I wanted a special night of dining before we started our next adventure to Loja. What a find. The décor was simply classy and the waiting staff most attentive. They helped us with the menu as this was our first visit to Sth. America and our grasp of the local language was naïve. The food was sensational... More

What is nice about this place is they will take reservations and pick up you from your hotel, they will also drop you off after you've had your fill. Great food and nice décor. Wish we would have dressed up a little more to not look out of place (had been hiking around the city all day). Would recommend for... More

We stopped here for lunch while walking around the historic center of Quito, and it was exceptional. Very attentive service, and the food was very good. Excellent choice in the center of Quito. it is located in the National Theater.

Ok to be fair, there was a lot of food available and you could eat as much as you wanted. The variety was pretty good and the atmosphere was nice. However no matter how you cut it, a buffet is a buffet and this one was decent, but like almost all others rather forgetful. Nothing jumped out as memorable. I... More

Description
Our restaurant is located in Quito's Historical Center on the second floor of Sucre National Theater, Cultural Patrimony from the XIX century, an expression of renaissance classicism. In the entire second floor it is located the most important restaurant in Quito, THEATRUM Restaurant & Wine Bar that offers an extraordinary menu of the vanguard Mediterranean cuisine. One of our emblematic dishes is the Grilled tender octopus with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, garlic tossed in pesto vinaigrette. Our classic Ecuadorian prawns on the grill with avocado mousse and tomato fondue.
