This was our first restaurant experience in Quito. We chose it for proximity to our accommodation and had limited other options for a late lunch at 4pm. The restaurant was clean and the waitress attentive (2 other tables had locals dining). The food was quite bland, but this may just be Ecadorian food. We ordered potato soup (tasty and buttery),... The staff recommended this place just a short walk from La Casa Sol B&B. Traditional Ecuadorian food (even Guinea Pig) but you can find something more American on the menu too if that's what you need. Good food and friendly staff!

I been to this restaurant while in Quito because i wanted to try some Ecuadorian food. They have a menu with a big variety of dishes, you don´t really know what to choose. I tried Locro de Papa ( Potato Soup ) , i also tried Tortillas de Papa. I loved the food, was tasty. This is the restaurant you... More

We went here with a group of eleven people. We askedfor separate bills for the five different families represented in the group. The waitress seemed flustered from the start. The food was OK,not great, just OK. The service was incredibly poor. The waitress brought wrong orders and when our bills came she had added dishes we had not ordered. It took ages to... More

This restaurant was a few blocks from the hotel and recommended to us for good, Ecuadorian food. It was good but not great. I ordered the regular fare of chicharones of pork with patacones and salad. The meat was way overcooked (as I often find in Latin America) and the patacones were ok.

Corn on cob tasteless. Tamale so-so. Chicken soup ok. Mojito and strawberry juice were best part of meal. Loud environment. Wait staff too busy to be attentive. Would not visit again or recommend.

Our first time in Ecuador and we decided to try typical ecuadorian food. We ordered the Cuy as my boyfriend wanted to try. I didnt try but my boyfriend yes, i ordered a dish called Locro with potatos on it. The food was delicios, people are nice , resonable prices. Very good option to try local food. Go there!

I came here for lunch. This is a traditional Ecuadorean restaurant. The food is very tasty, well presented, with no concessions to tourists. Food in Quito is not very hot, so don't worry. They have combination dishes with chicharron and other things, but these are a bit greasy. I tried the Lengua guisada (stewed tongue) and it was superb.

It is a great and delicious place to eat for ecuadorian food. It is more expensive than the food we had in the old town. but it is the modern part of the town, and food is made delicately. and I think it was the only ecuador place we found in our district . it is delicious ! Dinner is... More

Our hotel recommended this place and we are so glad they did. We sat upstairs on the patio where we could see everything going on in the square. We tried the cuy and the lamb stew. The stew was fantastic! So much flavor! The cuy was something we had to try. If you're wondering what it tastes like it is,... More

Ecuadorian cuisine restaurant just off Plaza Foch serves tasty national specialties . Try the llapingachos (fried pancakes of mashed potatoes with cheese) with steak or, for the adventurous, cuy (guinea pig). Mama Clorinda's as the place to have traditional Ecuadorian food.
