Went there for lunch after walking around old town. It is conveniently located and is inside a historic building with small balconies on the second floor. Food was plentiful and ok (perhaps a B+?), with main course being better than the desserts. The servers were...More

If you are thinking on local food at the historical center, this is a nice place to go to. Just remember to make a reservation if you are planning to go on peak hours.

This place was really good. It had a line out the door. More locals were here than tourists. Try the empanadas and ice cream. Our walking tour guide, Fernando, recommended this place.

Me and my husband really liked this place for their unique atmosphere, tasty food and good service. Ice cream was delicious. Also, the view from the window is good. I suggest you to try empanadas from banana.

This ice cream-coffee shop has more than 150 years of history. Great place to try some local candy and sweets. The guanábana ice cream is super good, also try the “Empanadas de Verde” as a snack!

If you enjoy fruit juice, ´helados de paila´are for you! These are made out of fruit from the highlands, such as raspberry, ´naranjilla´ and guanabana. They also have nice pork, chicken and other local food that is worth trying in lovely Old Quito!
