Best coffee we had on our holiday

Stopped in for a coffee on our last day in South America and enjoyed a great coffee that reminded us of Melbourne. If you are a coffee lover than I recommend a visit to get your fix

Went here yesterday. Chile is not known for great espressos, so my expectations were somewhat lowered. Firstly staff seemed frazzled and didn't acknowledge my presence..I had to ask for a menu.My cappuccino came barely warm and extremely weak. Couldn't taste coffee, only the sprinkled chocolate on the top of an extremely thin layer of froth. Also ordered a sandwich, which... More

Best coffee we've had in South America....really. They have a basic menu, milkshakes, frappe, cakes, sandwiches, but we came for the coffee.

Melbourne cafe boasts two floors with pictures from Melbourne Australia and is a little nostalgic. The staff are amazing and friendly and the coffee is the best in Valparaiso. I also had a sandwich which was made fresh and delicious as was the banana bread. Delicious.

I use Café Melbourne at least once a week as I do business in Sotomayor Square. The choice of beverages is wide and the sandwiches are good. This is by far the best place in Plaza Sotomayor. Don´t even think about going to that North American franchised place that has opened up in competition! Support a local business that helps... More

Aimed at ripping off the Australian tourists. They say 'familiarity breeds contempt'. The medium size drinks were lukewarm and cost CHP4.450 (about A$9), more than I would pay in Sydney for two hot drinks. I wonder if the rent and wages are the same as Australia? Anyway, dummy spit over. The service was good Free coffee tasting The wifi free... More

I stopped in for a quick lunch and was very glad I did. The caprese sandwich was very tasty and the coffee was also very good. Best of all, the staff was excellent. English speaking and very helpful. I asked if there was a post office nearby and he guy actually took me outside and pointed the direction.

Came here for breakfast in October 2015. The ham and cheese croissants are tasty, but the best thing is the coffee. Very good coffee. Because there's an Australian theme they even do flat whites. You can sit upstairs and look out over the Héroes de Iquique monument and see the walking tours wandering around the plaza.

We decided to search for shelter and coffee after an incursion to 1000 Tambores. Melbourne was the perfect place until my picky 5-year-old gourmet wasn't able to find anything suitable. Asked for some options but all sandwich are already prepared and there was no option. So he ended with a muffin while I had a great non-lactose cappuccino. My friend... More
