Because of my arrival time my hotel recommended this was a good place to get an evening meal at 4pm. So many places in Valparaiso have split shifts and odd opening hours. The staff are excellent and very welcoming. I did not enjoy the view....The restaurant's own terrace garden is much more attractive than looking over a working port, derelict buildings and on my visit there was a battleship! Graffiti is not a work of art. I had the scallops. I could not tell if they were fresh or not because they were so heavily baked in a cheese sauce. If you have an abundance of fresh seafood right next to you why would you ignore it?More

This was the best meal we had in our 2 week Chile vacation. We shared a generous prawn and fish ceviche which was superb followed by perfectly cooked Tuna with sesame seeds and a llama stew both outstanding. We went at 12.30 and was not...busy but by two the locals were flooding in. Service was spot on with plenty of staff. We had 4 glasses of wine and with tip the bill was 53000 pesos. We may well go back for supper today. Great terrace with sea view.More

We were in Valparaiso for 3 days. We ate at La Concepcion twice. The food is expectant and looking over the bay makes it even better. The service and staff are great.

I made a reservation with this restaurant by email, their response was fast and I requested a table with a view. Upon arriving, we were greeted by name and taken to the best table ever. We had a perfect view, outstanding service, delicious Pisco sours...and local wine with our dinner. We had stuffed ravioli that was homemade and tasted amazing. We highly recommend!More

Enjoyed some fine food here with a couple of pisco sours. Great view of the harbour from a good height. Waitress was excellent and v friendly. Only possible down side is the danger of bird droppings but you can get a parasol for that.

delicious food, beautiful view of the harbour. (Try get a table on the balcony or upstairs) staff are really attentive and friendly. Located in old town. Great for lunch or dinner if you are doing any tours of Valparaíso.

We had read the reviews and the restaurant looked good, so we went in during the day and chose a table on the balcony overlooking the bay. The setting is very good. The food is very good if not outstanding and the drinks good.

We had dinner in this wonderfully set restaurant. As a starter we had crabmeat cake.Absolutely fabulous! We continued with a shrimp curry dish. The waitress warned us it would be 'muy picante'.Well, not for us.Very tasty as we are used to hot food! Staff was very friendly and...served everything with welcoming words...More
