In every town we try to find the dive bar the locals love. This is it in Santiago! We has the Terremoto which means earthquake served in plastic cups. It's a Chilean cultural drink. Oddly enough, cheap wine, pineapple ice-cream and grenadine make a pretty...More

It's not fancy, but it IS famous. So make sure you come along with an open mind and an open heart for this 100 year old establishment. It's a dive, but frequented by all classes - so leave your snobbery at the door and enjoy...More

The food is nothing special but the terremotos..aw boy they're delicious. The atmosphere is quite lovely. Do not expect a fancy place - quite the opposite actually. It is full of all sorts of locals and it is usually crowded.

Touristy but maintains an authentic atmosphere. We enjoyed the drinks, the food (shared a Arrollado Olce huaso - delicious), and the atmosphere. If you want a less crowded experience go to "The Wonder Bar", only about a block away. Both great pubs in their own...More

If you came to Chile for a wine tour, not for you. If you live in Chile and/or are here for a little "real", and don't mind a little gruff-edge to your wanderings, then yes, you should visit 'La Piojera'. Quick, spilling, frothing, overflowing pours...More

A popular and rustic place located outside Puente Cal y Canto metro station. This is a very known and typical restaurant/bar where you'll feel the authentic popular Chilean atmosphere, with its disorderly infrastructure, typical Chilean food and, above all, with its typical beverage known as...More

Well, I have to say that I'm Chilean, studied culture and arts management so I understand and value the cultural background of a place like this. Having said that I have to warn everyone that this place is not exactly a restaurant, it's more something...More

La Piojera is an experience that is good to have. Very cult place, in terms of decoration, setting and menu. Quite touristic but every visitor of Santiago should try to Terramoto from there!

This place is pretty hideous, and you certainly don't want to be touching any surface. But it is quite a cultural place, good to have a(n average) terremoto. Don't stay late, the earlier the better

The place is pretty ugly but you can find there people from all over and a great atmosphere. Must try the famous Terremoto
