Not a local place mostly Americans, waiters spoke English and menu in English.
Pisco sour delicious and a tad pricey.
First unorganized I had 3 waiters then Oscar he was brilliant.
Asked for no onions in my ceviche there were heaps, but after I picked them out I enjoyed the 2nd best ceviche outside of Lima seems like my fish swam to my plate..soooo fresh, just the right amount of lemon and grilled corn kernels for a nice texture and regular corn kernels.
And if you like hot sauce they have some tasty stuff from Peru.
A fun evening, good for solo dining.
I would recommend.

I ate at the bar - the best place in the restaurant as bartenders explained about different pisco and brands as well as wines so made it easier to make a choice tailored to my taste. Guys kept honest and did point out to me when I was about to order too much food. Great quality but super relaxed. Wish could stop by more often

If you are staying in Santiago Chipe Libre is the place to come to try Pisco in all its variations. They offer a range of cocktails as well as various flights of Pisco which the staff will serve and explain the different types. Be warned the Pisco flights are lethal - we know we had one each. The service is friendly and we sat outside in the courtyard which was busy and had a nice vibe. The food is not bad either and we found prices reasonable. All in all an enjoyable meal. Chipe Libre is situated in an area of many bars and restaurants as well as street traders so it is a good spot to spend the evening. It all went downhill afterwards as we found ourselves in Bellavista drinking Corona sours (do not ask!) watching a drag queen at Moulin Rouge.

This was a bucket list destination for us for dinner and it exceeded all expectations! Get the fettuccine with seafood and a parmesan cream sauce that will make your trip worthwhile. The pisco flights are amazing. We had a server named Pablo that I wish we would have exchanged contact info with because he made us feel so welcomed. I only hope that I can ever do the same to return the favor when Chileans (or any out of town travelers) are in our hometown of Chicago. Thank you for celebrating togetherness as a restaurant concept AND for carrying out the message of inclusivity through your kind staff! Stacey & Bruce

This place is a gem in Santiago. Great ambiance (even the surrounding neighbourhood is cool and worth a wander) with awesome food and drinks. Staff was super helpful and even took the time to explain the different Pisco Sours in English because we couldn’t quite grasp the Spanish. Highly recommend visiting.

We had a great evening at Chipe Libre. The quality of the service was outstanding, especially our very professional and knowledgeable waiter, Anthony. They specialize in pisco and my husband had a flight of three differently aged piscos. I stuck with wine. The empanada appetizer was large (6 good size empanadas) and delicious. Best empanadas I've eaten. My salmon with quinoto was well cooked and my husband had positive reviews for the braised beef. Great atmosphere and service-oriented staff. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and I am so glad they told me about it. Luckily for me I chose an apartment nearby.
The food was excellent and the pisco sours equally as good. Service was attentive but not overbearing and I would advise anybody to follow the recommendations of the staff if you are unsure of what to order.
I will be returning, maybe more than once.

It was a fascinating and unexpected experience in a very beautiful and bohemian neighborhood. Inside, I found a very pleasant atmosphere and an extraordinary attention. I sat at the bar and i was attended by the attentive Luis who served me a delicious cocktail and recommended me a "pil pil mixto" which was a delicious Dish. Thanks for everything, i hope to come back soon.

This was a fun place. Menus came in English as well as Chilean. Regardless, it was a confusing and extended menu. I had just arrived in the country, I was tired and just wanted something light. I ordered a vegetarian dish. It was outstanding with a variety of fresh vegetables, fried tofu, a dressing and rice. Cilantro and nuts were sprinkled in the top. I didn’t but I should have tried one of the many Piscos they are famous for.

If you're looking for a restaurant with fantastic ambiance, authentic local cuisine, and the best piscos in the city- look no further. Every dish is perfection, and our server Anthony was very attentive and a menu expert. Make a reservation in advance- you won't want to miss it!

We each had a different pisco flight, and it was so interesting to taste the differences between areas of Peru and Chile. The courtyard out back was a cool refuge from the afternoon heat, and the food we had was pretty good. I had salmon, that was cooked well and was tasty, and my husband had mixed ceviche that he liked a lot. The cocktails we tried were also delicious. Service was good and helpful.

American family traveling through chile. We were super hungry after our flight and were looking for somewhere close to our hotel with vegetarian options. They delivered!! The Thai vegetarian dish was delicious and all the meat eaters with me loved their dish. My Negroni was excellent and my boyfriend loved his Pisco drink. I would love to return!
On top of that even though our table wasn’t ready yet and we were antsy to sit outside with smokers they found us a cute table in a chic upstairs area to wait and drink. Definitely recommend this restaurant

This is welcoming and cool place. We sat in the back under a palm tree. Our waiter was friendly and efficient and everyone’s English was excellent. I chose a lip smacking Pisco sour and ceviche. I was advised to go for a slightly hotter version and this was just right: chunky pieces of local fish and a good tang.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm and it was not very busy. I got seated immediately but felt I was in a corner and went and sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and made really good drinks. I had the mapu tiki which was excellent & another one with mango juice, spice & pisco which was good as well. For food, the empaniditos were good. I also got the shrimp appetizer with the curry sauce which was an interesting mix of flavors. Overall very good experiences
