El novillero is a meat specialized restaurant. I enjoy eating at "El Novillero"because the meat is always at the point. My favorite dish is the T-bone, it's delicious. The waiters are very professional . They serve the food in a very decorated dish and the restaurant atmosphere is very typical. I recommend going with a very special person because is... More

Visited with a work colleague. Good food, well cooked and simply prepared. Definitely worth a visit.

This is the best place in downtown Santiago for steaks. Beef is quite good, and they use really premium ingredients for their salads, excellent tomatoes, avocado and heart of palms. The place is a bit noisy, as most steakhouses in any city.

The beef we had at El Novillero was superb. Cooked to perfection, served with seasons vegetables or salad. The wine list is comprehensive, with many top Chilean wines at a competitive price. Don't forget to have a pisco sour as an aperitif.

Went for dinner and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and atmosphere. Prices are in line and perhaps a little lower than expected for what you get. Also we didn't realize they were closed/closing because the staff made no mention and were quite patient with us. Highly recommend and we'll definitely return during normal business hours

One of the things I loved about dining out in Santiago was the service - good, old-style service with efficient, friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome - even sometimes making ourselves understood in our "Spanglish"! Our visit to El Novillero was on the basis of a recommendation - and what a fabulous meal...... More

Their waygu steak (vetado is my favorite) is to dream of. Service is attentive and salads and desserts typical from Chile. This place is a jewel right at the center of Santiago, one block away from La Moneda. From the outside it looks rather unpretentious, but is well worth the visit. If you go, enjoy!

We went on a Wednesday night in the winter at about 6:30 and there were only a couple of other diners, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. They have a fine selection of beef and fish; my wife had the salmon and I asked if they had something like filet mignon. They prepared a delicious steak for... More
