We chose this restaurant in Lastarria as it had a nice outdoor seating area that was somewhat removed from the busier and louder outdoor restaurants. Had salmon with a salad - very good.

We came here after our travel guide from Peru recommended it. Hubby had the lamb, this was delicious and I had the rib eye, great. Big meals, but we finished everything! We also had a starter of seafood empanadas, these were wonderful! Although wine isn't advertised...by the glass, it was possible to get a single glass serve. We had a fab meal, sitting outside enjoying our last night in Chile before our rescheduled flight home. The wait staff were fun and friendly, helping us with our Spanish pronunciation. Highly recommend a meal here!More
We were walking along Barrio Lasteria and decided to have dinner here. Great choice too! Food delicious, wait staff attentive, not rushed at all. Try the seafood empanadas...yummy.
This restaurant sits in an artsy district near Santa Lucina Mountain. It's a great place to people watch and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend trying the grilled octopus with potatoes and their Cordero Magallánico (lamb with berry reduction sauce).
Take the time to visit Barrio Lasterria and dine outside. We chose he Sur Pantagonico, it looked pretty full and the dishes set out for diners looked good. We chose well, the meal was good washed down with a glass of local red wine, the...atmosphere lively and we were not rushed. It was not expensive, although certain items on the menu were not available - we were told it was logistical problems created by the demonstrations over the last three months.More
We sat outside at lunchtime and had nice food. Cold beers and friendly service. Surprisingly good considering the location.
Discovered this restaurant just a few blocks from the highly recommended Hotel Ismael. It’s located in an artsy, young crowd area with vendors on various days. The first time we dined here, both of us ordered the five lamb chops with carrot purée- cooked to...perfection and tasty. A week later, we returned for the same dish. Again, it was terrific. The following night, I returned for the 3rd dish of lamb chops but decided to be different and ordered the grilled lamb fillet with beans and lentils-also very tasty though my favorite remains the lamb chops with the carrot purée. Seating inside and outside, nice selection of alcoholic beverages and wine. Service and waiters terrific. Will definitely miss this wonderful grilled lamb!More
Really nice rustic feel restaurant in the centre of Santiago. Rarely have I seen such professional but unpretentious staff - really nice and helpful. Great selection of Chilean food, particularly fish and an extensive and very reasonable wine list and a range of Pisco Sour...cocktails. Mixed clientele all enjoying themselves. We were only in Santiago for a short time, but just had to go back. Try the deer (venison) - don't remember having better.More
We stopped here for a late afternoon drink and sat outside in the street. The service was good and the tables close to one another and we had a good chat with a couple of Chileans on the next table ( we are English). It...was also good to sit back and watch the world go by whilst drinking a nice beer.More
We had an amazing dinner with a variety of super dishes between us. The Patagonia bbq shared between 2 was devine. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere! Big hit with all
The décor is what you might expect of a high end country restaurant; lots of dark wood and wait staff formally and impeccably dressed in black. Service was excellent as well. I ordered the lamb chops. They were outstanding. My friend ordered the albacore and...said it was quite good as well. Also try the clams baked with cheese. Add some Chilean Carmenere and you have a winning combination. The place is located in Lastarria; very trendy and great for people watching.More
we have been to this restaurant which has wooden furniture, friendly staff and has a good choice for the menu. the environment is very hospitable and the staff are friendly. I also recommend it for the barrio which is very lively.
We dined here and had pasta and risotto. All tasty and medium in size. Lovely to sit on pavement. Staff were very nice and attentive. The 4 cheese sauce is super rich and delish. Lemonade and beer very nice and cold! All in all very...nice!More
I stopped in for raviolis on my recent visit to Santiago, and later decided to return again. Both times the waitstaff was friendly and attentive, and the meal was quite good. A bit stingy on the bread...one small roll...but the raviolis were generous enough portions....Wonderful outdoor seating and can’t beat the Lastarria neighborhood. Will definitely return on my next visit.More
This is a great restaurant for people watching. The Lasarria area is one with constant strollers, street musicians, and lovely shops. Sur Patagonico has a wonderful array of Pisco drinks. The lamb may have been the best I have ever tasted. Reasonable prices. We loved...it.More
