Stumbled upon this place while exploring Santiago. Shane's a great barkeep and has a constantly changing supply of local craft brew stocking the fridge behind the bar. Tried at least 6 I'd never heard of and the prices aren't bad. Cool mix of foreigners and locals, some regulars and some newcomers. Good music too. Food hits the spot. Only wish... More

Great little bar. English speaking welcome for ex-pats visiting. Like minded people mixing with locals. Food is just the ticket especially the fish and chips, more than satisfying. Listen out for last orders a bit unusual but works!

This place is ok, and has a good selection of craft brews, but they are all in bottles. There is a serious lack of draft beer in all of Chile, which is too bad.

A meeting spot which is a cultural melting pot. An extensive collection of hard to find and delicious beers. Cosy wood-panelled bar with a relaxed and unpretentious vibe. The sort of place you can leave with an unexpected new friend. Good (without being special) food that focuses on complementing the booze - I.e. Pub snacks, lots of deliciousness fried! We... More

Plays great hard rock all the time, good food and fair prices. The owner is super-sympathetic and talks to everybody in english if necessary (not our case), but there were a lot of people that didn't know each other, listened to rock music, got drunk then became friends. Totally recommend. Been there in june '13

Hi I have just returned to Australia after a month in South America. The Black Rock Pub is a great place to go to meet an Aussie publican and his lady who serve generous delicious meals and where you have a good choice of beers to enjoy. The pub has a great relaxed atmosphere. If you want to have a... More

When I arrived in Santiago it felt like I hadn't eaten a decent meal for a week. I searched for a gringo sounding pub & was so glad I found this one. The mechada was exactly what I needed & whilst I was there I sampled some of the publican Shane's local craft beers. I was impressed, but not as... More

Found out this area of Santiago is dead on a Saturday night but had hoped the "Aussie pub" would atleast have some atmosphere but just found a pokey bar with an owner more interested in catering to US sports fans.

Chile's 1st Australian owned-pub is located down under (pun intended!) in Providencia. Home made meat pies, large selection of craft beers, Aussie tunes and sports on the telly. Will surely be back!

Description
We are a cosy pub that sells great tasting Chilean micro-brewery beers and we serve tasty food that goes well with the beers. We offer traditional Fish'n Chips, Hamburgers or you can try the Chilean Chorrillana. These meals and snacks, + others, are only served after 19:00, Monday to Friday, all day Saturdays Between 12:30 - 15:30 we offer a "menu of the day" for the Chilean office workers. We have outdoor seating, great in summer, and inside is a smoke free area. We show many international sports: AFL, NRL, Cricket, Rugby Union, NHL, NFL, MLB, Premier League.
Directions: Avda. Providencia 2528.We are down one block from Tobalaba Metro and close to the corner of Holanda and Providencia. We are not easy to find when you are standing on the main street but if you look for a tall palm tree next to a shop called " Farmacias del Dr. Simi" then you will see an entrance to a small galleria. Walk down into the galleria entrance and you will see a terrace with table and chairs. These tables and chairs belong to us. We are directly to the right of the entrance and down a set of steps. We hope to see you sometime soon.
