This restaurant was near our hotel and we had dinner with our friends. The waiters were extremely helpful as none of us spoke Spanish. Their fish recommendations were amazing, especially the ceviche with soy sauce. The wine was excellent and the deserts were beautiful and...very good.More

The food was very good. Service was excellent, they were always attentive. We sat at the terrace, decoration was beatiful. Prices are high, but I paid with a credit card that has 40% off so it was very convevient. I didn't evaluate with 5 because...the music was too loud, we were almost shouting.More

Nice atmosphere, located in a modern and central patio at one of the most exclusive areas of Santiago... therefore is not cheap at all. Seafood is super fresh and good, but dont expect anything more than that. Service is ok. I guess my whole point...is that you can find the same quality for less or better quality for the same price IMHOMore

We've been here twice in the last few times and its been great. The specialty of the restaurant is to prepare the one fish many different ways. I suggest that you take their recommendations for the fish and the style of cooking. The fresh ingredients...make a real difference and the flavor is incredible. We went on a Saturday night and also on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. The Sunday lunch was a little rushed as we had a reservation for 3 pm and the kitchen closed at 4 pm however the food was still incredible. Both times the staff were attentive and really helpful. Be prepared to pay a lot of money to eat here but it will be worth it!More

We went to La Picanteria on our last night in Santiago. We love Peruvian food and had several memorable meals this past week (see other reviews). The "system" at La Picanteria is a little different. They offer you a menu of fish and you choose...which type of fish you'd like. Then you select the preparations. Best i can tell is you get three with the last a consumme. We had ceviche and then fried fish. We had corvino, not a fish you see too much in the US but it is light and flaky. It was very fresh and beautifully prepared. The setting is really cool and interesting. An outside table is a must in warner weather. La PIcanteria shares space with other restaurants and a long bar (think very upscale food court) and all were packed with an upscale, sophisticated clientele.More

La Picanteria is my new favorite seafood Restaurant in Santiago, Chile. The fish is real fresh and it comes from the north of Chile and also from Peru. When you taste the fish you know that it is high quality food. The peruvian ceviche and...the tiradito are fantastic. It is not cheap but worth it.More

If you live or for some reason, you visit Santiago (and have the budget), I really recommend this place if you want to try a good fish, they are really good at it. They work with local and fresh fish. In my particular experience, I...went for lunch at 2 pm and when I went out it was 7 pm, so judge for yourself. About service, I don't have anything to say, It was good, on time and they explain almost everything. For me just one mistake (a big one), they put salt on the oysters. Finally, price: Prepare your wallet (50 USD at least)More
